- Background
- My earliest memories involve Fishing and being Outdoors with my dad and my family. I remember being super excited for the weekends because my dad would love to take me fishing whether it was walking out on the Galveston jetties or later going in our Bay boat I was always excited to be even a little part of the planning, preparation and travel to the boat ramp. Of course there was always a gathering of the bait either by cast net or buying it from the ramp shop. We always felt like if we did not have live shrimp we would not catch anything which of course I found later not to be the case, but my parents instilled in me at a early age, the beauty of the outdoors-freedom of fishing on the Galveston bay. I carry that excitement and energy throughout my life. I remember the day I got my drivers license. I hooked up to the boat and took it to the boat ramp. Later I became a fishing guide and spent nine years even more intensely learning all about Bait fishing and management and what that meant to catch a fish-more accurately to put customers on fish day after day. The experience speaks for itself, but the energy and drive it takes to be a Fishing guide is all about helping others especially kids. I love the unbiased energy and excitement of children on the boat. I love how they’re excited about the live bair in the tank and asking me all kinds of questions that no one else may ask. I look forward to sharing time with you and your family on your fishing adventures.
- Techniques
- I run fishing bay bait trips in the boat or wade fishing. Also have requests for artificial only in boat or wading but wading is the best for that. Some trips we drift, some we anchor and it depends on the method the weather allows. Also guide coastal duck hunts. My boat is a 2021 Carolina Skiff 25LS so it will hold my max licensed anglers up to 6 but it gets tight onboard for more than 4 unless they are smaller like kids for instance.
