Background
Fishing has always been a huge part of my life. Ever since I was a little kid riding my bicycle miles to get to the water, I've always had a passion for it. I've owned a boat since I was a teenager and get on the water every chance I get.
Techniques
My boat is an 18 ft bay boat so I do a lot of inshore fishing as well as offshore fishing when the seas are calm. We fish for redfish, trout, and snook in the intercoastal; snapper, grouper, cobia, and many more species on offshore trips.

Went fishing on Wednesday, March 8, 2017

What an amazing morning we had with Captain Jeff!  From start to finish, Jeff demonstrated his knowledge of fishing, navigating the waters and immediately made us feel very comfortable. We shared stories…laughed real hard…just like family and just what a fishing trip should be all about.  The ultimate Captain…he even posed with the slippery fish.  We made a great memory with Captain Jeff and will definitely connect with him again on future trips.  P.S. We can now take Pole Dancing off our bucket list…ahahahah!  Very clever name.
Thanks again

Unfortunately fishing was on the slow side the day we went but being a party boat Captain myself from NY it’s completely understandable that days like this happen and generally the person most frustrated is the Captain him or herself. Regardless Capt.Jeff did a great job and I would definitely recommend Pole Dancer Charters to anyone looking to fish in the Daytona FL area.

Captain Jeff did an awesome job putting us on fish most of our 6hr trip. There was so much bait in the water early in the morning it was a little challenging to get many to hit. The second half of the day was spent pulling in trout, lady fish, an occasional Jack or Mangrove Snapper. The day ended throwing baits at Tarpoon rolling near where we docked. Couldn’t get any to take our lines, but was great seeing the tarpion rolling!

Our trip with Pole Dancer was fine. We were not very lucky in the fish catching department, but that was due to the rough seas the day we went. Captain Jeff was great and very helpful to us as we are a family of novice fishermen. We did catch some fish, but nothing that we could keep… That’s the breaks sometimes! I would definitely recommend Pole Dancer to others as he was very nice and knowledgeable.

Respectfully,

Matt Whitehead
