- My name is Brice Beisher and I am a charter captain based out of West Palm Beach, FL. My business name is BB Custom Charters, LLC because I intend to provide services to high end clients that want a completely custom, exceptional experience. I will use my experience of living, fishing, and diving South Florida to put my clients on the fish and have an unforgettable experience. I will work with my clients to tailor each experience to what they desire. I will not be the status quo charter that skimps on bait or won’t go the extra mile to a good fishing spot just to make a little more money on the charter. I have experienced charters around the U.S., Mexico, Bahamas, and Costa Rica and I have paid close attention to what those charters do right and what they do wrong. I hope to implement what I have learned from those experiences to provide my clients with an exceptional charter. I grew up on the water in Rhode Island, living on a small island off the coast called Block Island. This tiny fishing community is where I fell in love with the ocean. I spent multiple summers in Florida throughout college where I worked in a dive shop and as a marine field engineer installing artificial reef. I’ve always strived to be involved in the ocean which is what ultimately lead me to living in West Palm Beach, FL. I think this passion to be at the ocean helps me excel as a charter captain and allows me to provide my clients with experiences that they will never forget.
- Techniques
- My favorite styles of fishing involves many various techniques depending on the season, conditions, and types of fish we are targeting. You can always count on live bait bringing on the action wether you drop it the bottom or let it swim in the mid or upper water column. Much of the fishing in this area of South Florida involves drifting over spots with the strong north current. We often setup to drift live bait or cut bait over the reef, wrecks, and artificial reef that makes this area such an amazing fishery. Jigging is also a popular, and sometimes preferred technique, we employ when fishing our favorite spots. You’re guaranteed to get a workout. I am also an avid spear fisherman which I believe provides a distinct advantage for my clients. I have an intimate knowledge of the fish and the structures they call home because I have spent countless hours observing them under water. I know where the fish like to be in the water column and how the bottom is laid out. This ensures I can put you on the fish and land them successfully.
