it was a great day on the water, any day on the water is great, this charter ran as smooth as silk, best one i have been on in Mexico.
The Captain knows the water and the first mate his son is one of the best ,works his ass off, i know a great crew when i see one as i run a sturgeon boat in Canada and this was a treat to watch

Manuel and his son gave us a day to remember. Although i have been fishing my whole life. He and his son took time to explain what to do each and every step of the way from hooking up to landing the fish.My wife who had never fish very much in her life landed the biggest Marlin of the day. A 9 foot striped Marlin that gave my wife a fight she will never forget.Manuel’s son did awesome coaching and helping her the whole way while I videoed the whole once in lifetime moment for her. Once again, these guys gave us a great day on the water we will never forget! A big thanks to Manuel and his Son for a special day on the water.

We went for the 8 hour tour. It was a slow day . caught a few spanish mackerel early then nothing for most of the day .. we saw plenty of marlin on the surface somewhere between 7-9 of them not for sure . We threw live bait at them with no response. They just were not eating today but I can promise it wasn’t from a lack of trying. The captain and crew threw everything we had at them. at one point I think we tied the sink to a pole and threw it !.. but in the last 30 minutes we set the hook on a super nice marlin “my first” made the whole trip worth it .. I think this cold front had them shut down.. the fish were definitely there I know for a fact theres at least 7 that got away ..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Day on the Water – Highly Recommend Black Marlin Sport Fishing

Our group of six had an outstanding experience with Black Marlin Sport Fishing. Captain Manuel and his first mate, his son Manuel Jr., were absolutely excellent. Both speak great English, are extremely professional, and genuinely kind, caring people who clearly love what they do.

At first, I was a little hesitant about trolling all day for marlin. With a larger group, I really wanted everyone to have a chance to fight and catch fish. I shared this with Captain Manuel, and he was fantastic — he listened, understood our concerns, and worked with us to create a plan that made the day perfect.

We decided to fish for smaller game in the morning so everyone could get plenty of action, then switch to trolling for bigger fish in the afternoon. It turned out to be an amazing strategy. We caught plenty of Bonito and Skipjack early on, keeping the action nonstop and fun for everyone. Later in the afternoon, we went trolling and ended up landing two beautiful marlin — truly the best of both worlds.

Captain Manuel’s flexibility, experience, and commitment to making sure everyone had a great time really set this trip apart. If you’re looking for a charter that listens to their guests and delivers an unforgettable fishing experience, I highly recommend Black Marlin Sport Fishing. We had an excellent experience aboard the Black Marlin. Manuel and his son Manuel were ready promptly for both of our trips, and their English made communication easy and comfortable. We had chosen them based on strong reviews earlier in our trip, and they more than lived up to the reputation. 

On both outings, we landed two marlin each trip — no small feat, and a testament to their skill and preparation. The crew made sure we had time for photos and helped us clean up afterward, which was much appreciated. 

The boat itself was spotless and well maintained. The toilet was in good working order, the seats were very comfortable (especially for my wife and daughter), and the fighting chairs were clean, sturdy, and well cared for. All of the equipment was in excellent condition, with the right lures and bait for the job. 

Costs were explained clearly upfront: fishing licenses were $20 per person (paid directly to the license shop), and bait costs varied depending on the target species (paid to the bait boat operator). Everything was transparent and straightforward. 

Overall, Manuel and his son provided a professional, enjoyable, and successful fishing experience. If you’re looking for a reliable charter with great results and a clean, comfortable boat, Black Marlin is a fantastic choice.
