Fishing is truly a family tradition for Captain Edgar Meza – his whole family, including his grandfather and father, were in the fishing business, and he always knew he wanted to follow in their footsteps! He's now been working for over 15 years as a captain, but has been an avid angler for much longer than this. He loves nothing more than going out on the water, spending time with people, and looking for big fish, of course! He can't wait to introduce you to these plentiful waters.

If you are deciding who to choose for your fishing trip, its easy- choose Capt Edgar! My wife and I are beginners and Captain Edgar made sure we were anglers by the end. We caught 6 fish, 4 species, includng a 35lb Mahi that we had for dinner that night! Edgar was incredibly professional and the boat was cleaned and well cared for. When we got back to the dock Edgar cleaned and fileted our mahi. He then took us to La Costa restaurant located right by the dock and gave our fish to the chef and told her we would be back for dinner. When we went back, Tony the server took great care of us and we had mahi tacos and grilled mahi with garlic and it was delicous! We did a lot of research and are so glad we went with Captain Edgar. He had the best prices with no hidden fees. Make sure you do your homework because some of the charters will charge you up to $850 pesos for a license, charge you for bait, and other charges they dont mention up front. With Captain Edgar all of that is included. You can’t go wrong with Captain Edgar for your fishing in the Sea of Cortez!

Grouper fishing!

Had a great time! Took my daughter with me and the captain taught us how to catch grouper. We are pretty good fisherman from the East Coast of the US, but grouper is a different game. Lost maybe 5 or 6 but kept going to eventually catch one. We also went mahi and yellow tail fishing toward the end, but didn't get any because we ran out of time. But we were OK with that since we checked the bucket list with the grouper. Highly recommended! Captain was great!

Had a great day solo fishing with Captain Edgar. Caught some dorado and trgger fish. Edgar was very poessional and personable. Would recommend!

The trip overall was expected. Had a nice catch for the day however just wanted to note two things: many times we have used this app or someyhing similar and out trip is subcontracted out and we would have to perfer to release the fish we caught however that eas not an option. We enjoy fishing, and book based on the reviews from others. Like other times we show up and the captian is not the captian we have been conversing with or expected when booked. going forward this is a detail we will be verifiying. Also on this trip specifically we would have prefered to release they type of fish we caught. There was no net on the boat and no bat to dispatch the fish. Overall, the captian was great. just a few things to note for the next anglers.

Captain was fantastic!!! Going out on the water is not a guarantee to catch fish. He did a great job of putting us on the dorado. We cought more than enough fish to eat for days. can not stress enough how much id recommend choosing him for your mext charter.
