Johnny runs trips out of Rocky Branch aboard a 22' 3" center console Blue Waves fishing boat ?. Explore these waters teeming with Striped Bass, White Bass, Hybrid Striper Bass, and Walleyes. Also in the Eastern Oklahoma area, there's Crappies, Saugeye, Catfish, Spoonbill, White Bass, Striper, and Hybrid Striped Bass. *Just a reminder, Oklahoma area fishing is seasonal ?, so you can always ask and I can let you know what's biting under Johnny's expert guidance. The only way to learn is to join them on the water. Prices are $450 for 2 person and $75 additional for each, with a 5-person maximum I get a high volume call on solo trips, like to offer this also. You can still fish and get some education and still have fun without paying the price of 2 persons, when you're traveling alone. amazing trip!!!
4 Hour Trip on October 18, 2026 • 3 adults
well we froze our butts off getting to the first and pretty much instantly reeled one in after that we were shut ot until moving to another spot and again instantly hot a hit while bringing that one in bang got another one and unfortunately after that we just sat and bs’ d but we had an amazing time captain Jonny was a great guid and appologied profusely about the lack of fish. the weather had just turned and the laked had turned over. but as they say bad day fishing beats a day at work anytime and we had s great time and we are looking forward to going back with him under much better conditions and hopefully catch that elusive troughy fish!!

Great Fishing Starts with the Right Guide. Where Skill Meets Personality—Go Fishing with Johnny.
4 Hour Trip on July 31, 2026 • 3 adults
If you're looking for more than just a fishing trip, Johnny is the guide you want. His knowledge of the lake is second to none. He knows the lake's topography, understands where striped bass are likely to be schooling, and knows exactly what bait and techniques will produce results. What sets Johnny apart is that he doesn't just take you out on the water—he teaches you why the fish are where they are and what it takes to consistently catch striped bass. He uses fresh bait, pays attention to changing conditions, and works hard to put you on fish. Johnny is more than just a captain; he's a true striped bass expert. His experience, professionalism, and passion for fishing make the trip enjoyable whether you're a first-time angler or a seasoned fisherman. If you want to fish with someone who knows the lake inside and out and gives you the best opportunity to land quality striped bass, I highly recommend booking a trip with Johnny.

A Great Fishing Adventure
4 Hour Trip on June 25, 2026 • 2 adults • 1 child
Cpt. John not only knows Beaver Lake and striper fishing, he explains the whys and hows of everything to his customers. We enjoyed a half day charter...released some smaller fish and still got the limit in a short time. This time of year, he told us, the bite is pretty much finished by midmorning. He was right. Your striper limit is 3 per fisher, so a half day charter was more than enough time for us. We were moving the entire time we were out...no sitting forever waiting for fish to magically appear. Cpt. John knew where to locate them, and we caught some great fish. Cpt. John was great with my 9 year old grandson. It was a terrific charter. I won't book with anyone else from now on when fishing Beaver Lake.

PLAYIN HOOKE - IS THE BEST!
4 Hour Trip on July 13, 2026 • 2 adults
What an incredible morning with Playin' Hooke. John is a master at finding the biggest stripers, and he put us right on the fish. My son, his friend, and had such a great time - memories we'll be talking about for a long time. The boat was super clean, the fishing was fantastic, and John's experience really shows. If you want a striper trip where you actually catch fish and enjoy every minute, Playin' Hooke is the way to go.

Best trip ever!!!
4 Hour Trip (1 MAX) on May 12, 2026 • 3 adults
Johnny was the perfect guide! He did reconnaissance on the area prior to our charter and knew exactly where to go to find the stripers the morning of our excursion. Many of the other guides struck out, but we came home with lots of big beautiful stripers and some catfish too! Highly recommended. Definitely a five star experience.🎣🎣🎣⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
