When we first arrived at the Folly Beach dock for two hours of shark fishing, I will admit to being a little underwhelmed by the boat that Captain Dustin brought for this trip.  During the course of our two-plus hours on the water, however, I came to understand that the boat was perfectly outfitted for this type of trip.  We fished an area near the lighthouse and Dustin kept us entertained and informed, even when the fish weren’t biting.  Dustin definitely knows his way around the area and moved the boat appropriately to take advantage of the changing tide.  It was clear to me that his 2 hour shark fishing trips are usually more “productive” than ours was (possibly due to excessive heat), but each of my sons ended up catching (and releasing) a nice bonnet.  Dustin made sure we stayed busy by having the boys cast for trout while we waited for sharks to find their bait on the other side of the boat.  Dustin even gave us a few extra minutes on the water while I tried my luck.  Overall, both boys were able to land nice-sized bonnets that provided just the right amount of challenge to make for a great day of fishing.  We’ll certainly give Atlantic Breeze a call the next time we are looking for a fishing charter.  Thanks again, Dustin!

Captain Dustin was ready to go as we arrived. We had our lines in the water within 15 minutes and it wasn’t too long before we had some action. We checked out a few spots and everyone caught something which in my book is a great day. He was personable, knew his stuff and helped our boys learn a little more about fishing. Fun experience. I would definitely recommend!

We were able to book a half day trip with Dustin at the last minute. While the fish were sparse, it wasn’t for the lack of trying. we did manage a sea trout and nice redfish and hooked up with a few others that came unbuttoned. Dustin worked hard to put us on the fish and we had a great time. We highly recommend.

The captain shared his knowledge and experiences while patiently teaching us to cast accurately.  The day was beautiful … fish were caught … porpoises were seen … a lighthouse was visited …and we had a nice “red drum on the half shell” that afternoon off the backyard grill.

Dustin was great and we had a blast! If you want to catch fish and have a great time, this is your guy. He knows the area inside and out and consistently put us on fish. Will 100% use Dustin again next time we’re in Folly.
