- My favorite fishing technique is targeting Bluefin Tuna on surface feeding activity. When tuna are hunting on the surface, casting directly to the fish and fighting them stand-up is one of the most exciting experiences in Mediterranean fishing. Depending on conditions and fish activity, I also use drift techniques to target tuna offshore. When tuna are less active, we can adapt and fish deeper waters over wrecks or underwater structures where different Mediterranean species can be found. Adapting the technique to the fish activity is always the key to a successful fishing trip.
