I have been fishing the waters of NY since childhood, and have worked as a hunting & fishing guide or guide's assistant across 3 states since 2007. Unlike many of my competitors, this is not something I do part time, as a 'hobby business,' or as a way to finance my personal fishing recreation. Working as a guide, whether hunting or fishing, is my full time job and career. At almost half the age of most of my competitors, I was able to stand on my own two feet and do this for a living when the rest could not, even when they had twice the experience and time invested. That alone tells the story of my capabilities as captain, and my willingness to please my customers! I look forward to seeing you on the water this season so you can experience first hand what separates our boat from the rest of the fleet! Tight lines!

    Fishing with Benjamin

Half Day Trip – Trout & Salmon (PM)4 adults1 child

I selected this charter based on the web description. We were not disappointed. Of course, as in any fishing trips, patience is required, Captain Ben did everything humanly possible to bring us to fish. While we waited for the fish to do their part we enjoyed friendly conversation with the Captain and his mate. It was a slow yet productive day. If you are searching for a charter that is kid friendly, works hard at bringing you to fish, Then you found it. You also get to enjoy the awe and wonder of the Great Lake.

    Response from Captain

Thank you Anita! It was a pleasure fishing with you all! Hopefully we will see you again in the future!

RED HOT FISHING ACTION!!!

Jun 6, 2022 • Henderson
The title says it all...and the pictures are only from 2 trips from the past week! This has been one of the best springs we have had for Brown trout in several years! Not only are we catching sizeable Browns in plentiful numbers, there is a variety of other fish species utilizing these same waters and taking the same lure patterns! King salmon, Lake Trout, bass and even GIANT WALLEYE have been hitting the presentations. It isn't often we are able to successfully take this type of variety from a single fishing location for such a long period of time...As for our back bays, the pike and pickerel have been producing this year and smallmouth bass fishing should be exceptional once it opens on June 15th.The weeds are starting to come up, but there is still time for a back bay trip while the pike fishing is still productive. We have very limited dates remaining for June, but there is still time to get in on the action! With what we have experienced so far, the prediction for July and August is what we think will be an exceptional summer of fishing, especially for trout and salmon. For walleye / smallmouth bass combo trips, look to mid August through September for hot dates! As always, feel free to reach out and message us before reserving your date and we would be happy to answer any and all of your questions!

Our back bays are producing here on Lake Ontario! Walleye, Northern Pike, and Pickerel have been the target species and have made for some exciting fishing adventures! As our May calendar fills up, don't overlook the month of June for these same fish! We will also be putting more focus on our trout species as well as SALMON during the month of June! The options in the Northeast corner of our lake are unmatched, and for the open minded angler there is always fish to target! Reserve your date today while there is still availability and let us connect you with the fish!

Get your dates NOW before it's TOO LATE!

Apr 12, 2021 • Henderson
The 2021 Fishing season will begin (for us) in May, and what a busy spring it will be! We are already down to only a handful of dates for our May calendar, and the summer calendar is filling more rapidly than ever before! While our summer Trout and Salmon charters are always our most popular trips, there has been an increase in anglers searching the diversity that our lake offers. Many of our anglers have reserved multi-day trips targeting several species of fish, OR single day trips targeting a new species that they have yet to fish with us! May, June, and late August through September are the perfect times for these multi-day excursions. Northern Pike, Bass, and Walleye are a great addition to any of our Trout & Salmon charters. Come and enjoy fishing the "Golden Crescent" of Lake Ontario and experience first hand how our fishing diversity is unmatched anywhere else on the lake!

When they just won't stop BITING!!!

Jul 15, 2019 • Henderson
The fishing has been fantastic! Exceptional! Stellar! Amazing!...Lakers, Kings, even Browns and Steelhead have been taken over the past week! Pictured here was our trip from this past Monday where our anglers caught 4 species of fish to include King Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead, and a Brown Trout (released). It was a fast paced day with fair weather making a memorable day that our customers will never forget! We brought over 200 lbs of fish back to the dock! A full cooler, and once the cooler was full, we started filling the oversized (thank God) livewell on the boat! This corner of the Lake is known for its variety and diversity and this trip proved that to be true! It's not too late to book a morning or afternoon on our boat! Weekend morning trips are VERY limited at this point, but afternoon trips are available and the afternoons can many times bring the best fishing action of the day! If a weekday is an option for you, then there will be a few more options but even our weekdays are filling at a rapid rate! Its not uncommon for us to see our customers return a second or even a third time in a single season and there is a reason for it! Hot weather and HOT RODS!!!

Jul 3, 2019 • Henderson
July is off to a great start! The 4th of July week bought some beautiful weather, amazing water conditions, and plenty of rod action! Salmon have been our main target species this week with lake trout being taken from the same spoon pattern along with a beautiful brown! Kings in excess of 20lbs have been common, and the summer LOC derby is underway! We strongly encourage our anglers to enter for the derby. Last year we had several thousand dollars worth of prize winning fish that hit the deck but were never entered! You've got to play to win and there are plenty of big fish in our waters that are waiting to be caught! If you havent booked your summer adventure yet do it now befor its too late! We offer both morning and afternoon charters for salmon and trout. Reserve your date today and take advantage of the diversity our corner of the lake has to offer! - Capt Ben Roggie

SUMMER KINGS!!!

Jun 23, 2019 • Henderson
The past 2 weeks have brought fishing conditions that separate the men from the boys! We had to work for every fish that we caught! Key word...WORK!...When the fish close their mouths it doesn't mean they can't be caught. It simply means you have to bust your hump to figure out exactly what it takes to trigger them to strike! You can stick the rods in the water and stare at them all day, but if theyre not biting there is ALWAYS a reason. Changing lures, colors, lead distance from the ball, speed, depth...its all part of the process, especially on tough days. If the person rigging the rods is at any time sitting still on a tough day then theyre doing it wrong! We were able to pull some impressive King salmon out of the lake over our past 2 weeks of fishing, along with some beautiful lake trout. Pictured above is one of those Kings, and if we told other anglers competing in the same area for the same fish what speed we were running our boat to catch fish that day, they'd probably call us liars! Sometimes you've gotta throw the textbook away, or better yet...find some blank pages and write your own chapter in the book! Overall fishing has been exceptional this year! Mature kings have been averaging 17-20lbs with some over 20 making their way into the boat. Lake trout have been a mixture of year classes, ranging anywhere from 10 to 18 pounds. To make things better, we are FINALLY getting some long overdue sunshine! The LOC Derby begins this Saturday June 29th, with cash prizes for top 20 fish in each category and Grand prize of $10,000 for biggest Salmon! There is also $500 and $1000 prizes for biggest fish of the week each week. Its a great time to enjoy yourself on the water, and for those that are looking for a more "competitive" day of fishing, enter the derby and let us try and put you on the leader board! -Capt Ben Roggie
