I take pride in showing fishermen and women of all ages and skill levels the best day they've had, fishing or otherwise. I believe happy clients are the cornerstone of a thriving charter operation.

    Better than expected!

    Swordfish Trip • 2 adults

    Captain Jason and Deckhand Sergio were Amazing. Without any Real ocean fishing experience we were helped every step of the way! So many fish caught we lost count! No joke! Halibut, Rockfish, bass and Redfish, along with several Species I don’t remember the names of. We had the Best trip Ever. Sergio kept our hooks baited and Captain Jayson kept us on the fish every stop we made! The boat was well equipped and Very Comfortable, OUR Safety was never in question. Always felt safe and secure. You won’t find a Captain & crew that will treat you better or keep you On the bite better! If you looking for a Day trip on the ocean in San Diego, Hook up with, “The limit,” or ,”The Long Run,” boats and Have n experience to remember. We will Do it Again!!. Charles & Janet.

    worth the trip!!

    Half day inshore • 4 adults

    We did a 5 hour trip with captain Ross and deckhand Joe. The trip our group had was awesome. Captain Ross was fantastic and so was his deckhand Joe. They put us right on the fish within 30 min of being on the water. We had multiple rods going off at the same time on multiple occasions. I would recommend using long run sports fishing and we will be booking a longer trip very shortly. 5 stars isn’t enough for these guys. They made the entire trip worth every penny and then some!

    Half day fishing trip with Captain Mike

    I had an amazing fishing trip with The Longrun. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The captain was knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about fishing, which made the whole experience both fun and productive. The boat was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and we felt safe the entire time. The crew worked hard to put us on fish and were great about helping with gear, techniques, and tips, no matter your experience level. We caught plenty of fish and had a great time doing it. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and well-organized. If you’re looking for a memorable fishing trip with a crew that truly knows what they’re doing, I highly recommend The Longrun. I’ll definitely be booking again!

    Wil and Sergio were great. They were very accomodating and made us feel comfortable and safe. Will shared his knowledge about the Navy points of interest and the geographical layout and where we were going. Sergio was so helpful with baiting our hooks, untangling lines or whatever needed to be done. Will added some extra time to our trip since he had a little engine trouble at the begining and had to wait a bit. Really appreciated that. We would recommend Will, Sergio and “The Limit” to anyone! thank you! Jeff, Jan and Reid

    The entire day was great and Captain Nathan was fantastic! He was kind, fun and extremely knowledgeable. We caught incredible fish and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, we will be booking again!

    Jason was our Captain for the day, with his son Tyler as our first mate. They were fantastic and welcoming as we loaded onto the boat and got situated for the day. As the day went on, Jason and Tyler continued to make great conversation, move to spots that were biting, and try to make the trip as enjoyable as possible.

    12 Bonito to 12 pounds on our Friday 4 hr trip. Weve been getting Skipjack and Yellowtail on the 4 and 5 hr trips. This is typically a bite we see on 8-12 hr trips so its very good right now

    Sergio and Captain Mike were awesome! They put our family right on the Bonito and made our trip an absolute blast. With six of us onboard, everything felt safe, comfortable, and fun from start to finish. Great crew, great fishing, and an experience that will now be tradition. Highly recommend!

    Had a great time with capt jason and crew. he was very curtious with us and our time. we booked the 5 hour AM and fished a little off shore. had about 3 hours or rod time and he gave us some extra in the bay. we caught a bunch of rock fish, some white fish and a few others. 10/10 would recommend.

The warm water species have definitely left the area, with some overnight trips still taking you south to Mexican waters to follow them. Closer to home, your main targets will be Yellowtail, Rockfish, and Halibut.
