I started fishing young with my father and loved being out on the water. He taught me the ins and outs of fishing the Oregon Coast and the Columbia River with its tributaries. 15 years ago I decided to start sharing my knowledge with others and it has been the greatest career anyone could choose. We use a variety of fishing techniques depending on where we are fishing. On the ocean, it's a combination of live bait, lures, and jigs. On the river it's similar, but we also use fresh or frozen shad for catching Sturgeon. Rest assured, we will have all the latest and greatest gear to catch the fish. We even make our own jigs.

    Amazing experience as always with Captain Donald

    Full Day Trip (Private) • 4 adults

    This is our third trip out with Donald and Pastime Fishing Adventures and each time has been better than the previous. Not sure how he is going to top it next year, but I am sure Donald will fid a way. This year we struck out in a new direction than usual to try out some new spots ad it turned out to be an excellent choice. We were quickly on schools of impressively large bass and beautiful ling cod and had a great day, hitting our limit on bass quickly and pulling in six lings as well. 12 dungeoness crabs topped off the days haul for a cooler full of fish. Fishing aside, Donalds company and humor was on point and the scenery was spectacular. Donald remains a top captain and guid, patiently providing help where needed, and allowing those who need less assistance to be more independent. A perfect day. Highly recommend!

    March fishing trip

    From the time we boarded the boat, Donald was so aware, attentive, and on top of all of our needs. He actually remembered and brought iinformation about us from our pre trip survey into our conversation. He was great at making it a very positive experience. To as much of his professional ability as possible, he also did his very best to get us as close to our quota of fish. We were so close! Thanks Captain Donald.

    Captain Donald was excellent. We did a private charter with 4 and had a fantastic time catching rock fish, ling cod, and crab. Seafood Extravaganza that night!!

    Excellent day on the boat. Captain knew exactly where to go to be sure we caught fish. The 5 of us had a great time. Would highly recommend. Also, when booking trip, Captain was extremely responsive to questions and very helpful.

    Captain was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We limited out in the first hour and continued to catch more and released. Highly recommend and will be making another trip.

Lingcod and rockfish have been biting very well in our area. Salmon season starts again September 1-30th. This will be a great opportunity for catch and harvest. All your catch is filleted and bagged at no extra charge.
