Based out of Newport, OR, or Depoe Bay, you'll voyage out into the Pacific's rich waters, taking advantage if its incredible fishing. From monster Halibut to delicious Salmon, Lingcod, Seabass, and many more, you're in for a real treat with Captain Don.
An Oregon native, Capt. Don has been fishing these waters his whole life, running charters for over 15 years. He knows every twist and turn of the local rivers and knows all the sweet spots offshore. Let him take you up to 20 miles offshore to discover some thrilling fishing.
Aboard his 28' Alumaweld Formula Vee aluminum sport fishing vessel, you'll have everything you need for a productive day on the water. Powered by a 300 HP Mercury Verado engine, you'll reach speeds of up to 40 knots as you chase after the exciting fish. When you hit the sweet spots, you can use the downriggers and outriggers to troll, while the livewell will keep your bait fresh.
Go after some thrilling Salmon, monster Halibut, and delicious Lingcod, among many more bottom fish. Head up to 20 miles offshore as you troll for Coho and Chinook Salmon. While you'll stay nearshore, up to 5 miles out, as you bottom fish for Lingcod and more. Get ready for some heavy lifting as you battle it out with these beasts, trying your best to take home plenty of delicious creatures to fill the fridge.
At the end of the trip, your captain will clean and prepare your catch, so you're ready to cook it up right away. All you need to do is bring some snacks and drinks aboard and make the most of your time on the water. Capt. Don will pick you up from Newport or head off from Depoe Bay, just let him know what's easiest.
All you need is an Oregon fishing license along with some drinks or snacks.

This is our third trip out with Donald and Pastime Fishing Adventures and each time has been better than the previous. Not sure how he is going to top it next year, but I am sure Donald will fid a way. This year we struck out in a new direction than usual to try out some new spots ad it turned out to be an excellent choice. We were quickly on schools of impressively large bass and beautiful ling cod and had a great day, hitting our limit on bass quickly and pulling in six lings as well. 12 dungeoness crabs topped off the days haul for a cooler full of fish. Fishing aside, Donalds company and humor was on point and the scenery was spectacular. Donald remains a top captain and guid, patiently providing help where needed, and allowing those who need less assistance to be more independent. A perfect day. Highly recommend!

From the time we boarded the boat, Donald was so aware, attentive, and on top of all of our needs. He actually remembered and brought iinformation about us from our pre trip survey into our conversation. He was great at making it a very positive experience. To as much of his professional ability as possible, he also did his very best to get us as close to our quota of fish. We were so close! Thanks Captain Donald.

Excellent day on the boat. Captain knew exactly where to go to be sure we caught fish. The 5 of us had a great time. Would highly recommend. Also, when booking trip, Captain was extremely responsive to questions and very helpful.
