Took my two kids fishing with captain Alfonso and his first mate Mariano. We did the 6 hr trip and had an amazing day. Caught a few smaller (but delicious) bonito. We had an amazing 8-hour fishing trip with Alfonso and Mariano. I went with my 10-year-old son, and he had a blast reeling in countless bonitos! Later, Alfonso prepared a delicious ceviche for us while we enjoyed snorkeling on the reef. The service was top-notch—cold drinks and beer were available throughout the trip. Alfonso and his mate worked hard to find us fish on a day with less than ideal conditions. They did a great job of keeping us on the fish on a day when other boats were struggling. Unfortunately one our party had a little too much to drink the night before and had to return early. I have no doubt if we could have stayed out we were primed for an epic day. Wow! What a day! Captain Alfonso and his first mate Mariano got me on the fish quick. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. As a seasoned fisherman for salmon, I was not quite ready for the style of fishing that Alsonso showed me. Was able to bring up a massive fish. We did half a day for my dad’s 80th birthday. Alfonso was so prompt and clear in his communication leading up to the day and was patient and kind to my old man who had all sorts of questions. He even went over the time to give him more chance once he caught one and was so excited. As a result we ended up catching another one which he helped us get it cleaned and cut to a size for my dad’s favorite fish stew. It’s was a day to remember. Thank you Alfonzo!
