Trey and Shawn are great guys. We all had a great time except my oldest who got sea 🤢. Very enjoyable experience. Thanks fellas!! The fish weren’t biting like we had hoped but it wasn’t from lack of trying.

Best day ever!!!!

I’ve been fishing a long time. I get it. We don’t always catch fish when on a trip. I understand. This trip was doomed from the start. First off an email was sent at 11pm the night before our 7am trip informing me that even though we owed $675 more for our trip that they were gonna add an additional 20% gratuity of $145 extra to the final price. Making our trip now $800 after the deposit was paid months ago. We started our trip with a 30 minute travel time to the first and pretty much only spot we would fish that day. We spent 1 and 1/2 hours watching the captain and deck hand fish for bait and set poles up. We watched them fish that whole time asking several times if we could at least fish for bait and help out. Finally they handed us some bait set ups. Without weights on the bait pieces just flouted on top and never sank far enough to even catch anything. I had made a suggestion that we add weights and my suggestions fell on deaf ears. The “chum” bag was filled with cat food. Clearly not attracting sharks. We accidentally caught a few snappers that they said were outta season even though the day before on a different fishing trip we were allowed to keep our same catch. We sat at that first spot for over 3 hours of our 5 hour trip. Finally after pleading with the captain to try something different we moved to another spot. With the same results. We eventually decided to throw in the towel after 4 hours of nothing to write home about. We ended the trip 30 minutes early. And then I asked the captain how much we owed them. Thinking he would cut us a deal since we not only didn’t get a shark but caught barely any fish at all. He told me we still owed $820. So even $20 more for coming in early. The captain and his deck hand( a buddy of his on vacation) we’re nice enough. And the boat was very nice. But it felt like we were paying them so they could go on their own fishing trip and just give us a ride on their cool boat. Definitely would never book this trip again. Again I’m not mad about not catching fish. But this was extremely disappointing.
