- Background
- I have been involved in the tourism industry for 25 years and fishing for decades. After getting out of the "mass tourism business" in a major BC resort, I decided to open a small scale eco fishing resort on the middle Fraser River in Lillooet, BC, to cater to couples and small groups of anglers looking for a true backcountry wilderness fishing experience far away from the crowds and high angler pressure of other areas around the province and the lower Fraser River. Our section of the middle Fraser River offers a world-class fishery for catch and release White Sturgeon, along with Salmon and Trout fishing in pristine mountain lakes. Whether I'm on the Fraser River hooking into and playing an 8' Sturgeon or in one of my fishing kayaks paddling the quiet bays chasing Rainbows with ospreys and eagles diving for my catch when it surfaces, I love everything there is about fishing in this area of British Columbia and am happy to share the experience with you.
- Techniques
- We like to show our clients a full day of action packed fishing on the river never staying in one spot too long. From angling over deep holes, to fishing the back eddies to fishing the creek mouths along with reading river conditions and switching baits up to see what's working best. We only use top of the line well-maintained gear and safety is our number one priority out on the river with our guest. When we are on the lakes hunting for Rainbows and Dollies in our Hobie pedal drive kayaks that are effortless to propel we like to troll along the shore or in front of creeks and streams and into the shallows to target these fish species. Guests have the choice of fly or spin cast fishing with our gear or can bring their own if they wish. All safety gear is included and a satellite phone is always with us in the event we are out of cell service.
