Captain eddy and first mate Jonathan were great and helped accommodate our family with small kids on a fishing trip. We were able to help our 2 kids catch their first fish and caught some nice wahoo and barracuda for dinner. They set us up with a local restaurant that cooked them up for us and it was delicious!

J and Eddie provided an amazing trip and we had a blast.  We started off strong with a 4’ wahoo in the box just a half hour after leaving the dock.  Had a great time with music, refreshments, stories and 6 lines in the water!  J’s knowledge of the area, the fishing, the tactics and all things Aruba was impressive.  He was a great resource as two in our group were deep sea fishing for the first time!  On our way back in, we hooked up a sailfish and the fight was on…  With waves crashing... Captain and mate did well in tough conditions, the winds were 50+ km/h and choppy seas made it hard for the fish to see our attractors and baits. We did get a couple small fish but not what they usually catch. I’d use them again in a heartbeat.

I have been fishing all over the world for years. This trip was a lot of fun and we steady caught fish. We started with a sailfish followed by three mahi mahi, another sailfish, another mahi mahi, then a bonita, another sailfish and finally a wahoo. The captain and mate were excellent and I would highly recommend G-String. I will definitely use this boat on my next visit to Aruba.

It was our first ever deep sea fishing trip. Would definitely recommend. The J-strip crew was 100% the right choice. Captain Eddy’s experience shined through with his knowledge of the water and where to find the fish. They got us on a school of Mahi Mahi mid trip after catching a couple Tuna and Bonita. Not to mention that the Mate’s were amazing and made the trip fun and memorable.
