I flyfished for tarpon for the very first time. My captain and guide was Elvin Gutiérrez aka Primo. He has 40 years of guiding experience and I learned a lot with him. I had a great day out on the ocean with Primo. He constantly watched for rolling fish and chose the fishing spots accordingly. Tarpon fishing is hard. Conditions were far from ideal, with rain, wind and stormy ocean. Capt. Primo did literally everything he could: we could literally see the tarpons rolling in the waves, but they were not biting. Nevertheless he ultimately allowed me to land a fish after a fun and strong fight. Not a tarpon but a fish is always a fish, and that was fun! Totally recommend! Would do it again myself!

My wife and I took the full day fishing charter with Capt. Primo.  He was very knowledgeable and patient with us as he would stop and get us enjoy the wildlife we saw in the way.  Which included Dolphins, Crocodiles, Monkeys, Caymens, and many bird species.  The fishing although slie was enjoyable.  He made us feel like we were just friends fishing together.
