When I say Capt. Chris was awesome… I mean he was frickin awesome!!! This is the guide all the other guides call to get on the fish!! We had boats tailing us all day and we still caught more than the lot! Chris was hilarious and while we were searching for fish he had my wife and I rolling with his jokes and personality!! Highly recommend this guy and will book only with him next trip! Caught the biggest red I’ve ever caught my whole like 35 inches(that’s the truth not a fish tale

The captain was a reasonably nice guy, however, the boat was very small and it appeared to be in disrepair because it had a broken windshield.  It was not setup to accommodate anglers because it did not have any rod holders towards the bow, did not have any way to hold drinks while fishing and it did not have any type of top to block the sun.  I was on the trip with my future wife and in 4 hours she was not even given the chance to hold a pole.  We both have extensive fishing experience and we were treated like we did not know how to fish.  The captain did most all the fishing, other than myself getting the chance to fish for about 45 minutes of the 4 hour trip.  We did not catch any fish and the overall experience was less than favorable so we declined the opportunity to extend the trip.  My feeling is that if someone is expected to pay $400 for 2 people to fish, they should seek to find an outfit the has a better boat and a captain that is more customer focused.

Blaine,

I’m sorry that you did not enjoy your trip, I tried my best to get the fish to bite, we did manage to hook into a few Snook. I did also allow you to fish with a rod. I apologize for the cracked windshield however a customer slammed into it while fighting a nice fish the previous trip and was unable to replace it in the small amount of time. My boat is designed for fishing shallow water flats and I explained this to you before departure it’s not a huge boat however it gets the job done and has plenty of fishing space. I can’t help the cup holder issue ill try and find a way to allow holding space for beverages soon. I hope this helps.

Chris was great. Moved us around to different spots when we weren’t getting any hits. Even though we didn’t catch any big enough to keep, our day was a success. Will definitely book with him again.

Our Captain met us on time, ready to go. He had us all setup to catch redfish and snook in less than 1/2 an hour, and we were getting bites until an ignorant boater motored in less than 20 yards from us and scared our school of finning reds away. Nobody around for miles and this knucklehead pulls up right next to us to hit our chummed up fish. He was such an idiot he even pointed to schools of Reds leaving the area, more boaters pulled in and within 30 minutes there were 17 boats all close enough to us to throw a beer at. We caught nothing but two small hammerheads all morning, we moved several times and each time other boats would swarm us just hoping we knew what we were doing. Ended up getting shutout and fished the docks on the way back but no luck. Brought back nothing for dinner. The Captain was great and I would recommend him again, you just can’t account for what other boaters will do on the water sometimes.

Captain Taylor is the best charter captain I have ever gone fishing with. We targeted reds and snook when we went out and caught plenty. He is a very entertaining and knowledgeable captain with a very nice boat. He took me all over the bay and showed me some amazing fishing spots. I especially appreciated him taking the time to explain the best ways to catch each fish and discussing different lures and bait that he preferred and why. If you are looking to have a good time and catch a lot of fish then I would suggest going with him and no one else.
