Can’t remember Skippers name as a change was made but skipper & deckhand worked tirelessly for us the entire time. We ended up with 7 people fishing on board & managed 23 fish btwn us, including red snapper , skip Jack , trigger fish & 2 barracuda of which the smaller 1 my son caught … excellent days fishing !!!

The crew worked very hard for us to catch fish. They were attentive and anyone who wants to find the best fishing experience out there, this is it.

This was an amazing fishing trip!  Had to delay the trip one day due to winds from end of the recent storm.  Glad, we were able to go.  Almost didn’t make it because I thought that they could just charge my credit card on file but they couldn’t so I had to pay cash for the whole fishing trip on the day of.  Fortunately, although we were a bit short on cash, they let us go anyway with our promise that we will return with more cash to pay up the rest because my husband and I both didn’t bring our wallets but the cash we had on us was just enough so we had to run back to our hotel to return to pay up the remaining balance and to tip the Captain and the Deck Mates after our fishing trip. 

Unbelievable!  I couldn’t believe I caught a 50” Barracuda and a 38” Jack.  Fought real hard to reel them both in.  So funny, how I, as a petite woman, ended up catching the two biggest fishes LOL.  My husband is a big fishing fan and I was just tagging along.  Had no idea that I would be catching these large fishes. 

Captain and Deck mates worked real hard to try to find the best spots to fish and to fish for fresh baits to catch the big ones on the way out to the deep end of the ocean.  There were supposed to be more with us but they didn’t show so only 3 of us fished.  Our trip was supposed to be 3/4 day but was cut to 1/2 since there was less people fishing.  I guess they alternate fishing time per person.  I was fine with it though because it shortened our time out there just sitting under the hot sun.  Just wanted the fishing experience but didn’t want to get scorched.

My only critique would be that the boat engine was a bit loud that I had to plug my ears which helped.  The fishing reel kept wobbling and was difficult to wind the reel.  I had to keep my elbow against it to enable me to continue reeling the fish in.  I was a bit nervous when the boat kept fuming black smoke.  Not sure if that’s normal but was nervous that we’d get stuck stranded in the ocean but we made it back to land safely.  Overall, it was a great fishing trip!  I would definitely go again if I ever get another chance in the future.

The boat was showing signs of age, but the equipment was very well maintained.  Or day started out slow, but Captain Diego never quit looking for a good spot.  Once he found one we all caught at least one nice sized fish.  Jonathon, the mate, treated us great & once we found a good reef he was kept very busy.  I look forward to going out with them next time I am in Cancun.
