Captain Lou put us on the MEAT.

what an excellent day…..My crew and I had an excellent day on the Gianna Helena.  Captain Lou was an absolute pro.  Put us on keeper strippers early and keeper fluke late. Boat is amazing, clean and comfortable.  More importantly its Captain knows how to target and get fish over the rail.

Went out on a fishing trip with friends on Captain Lou’s Gianna Helena charters. Not a minute went by without excitedly catching fish or waiting to hook one, or two at the same time, on either side of the boat.

It’s a day my friends and I will treasure for many years to come.

Captain Lou has his work cut out for him this Labor Day weekend full day trip. Strong winds and currents kept our lines rolling along the sea floor even with 12 ounces of lead on em. Even then the Capt kept us on the fish. We moved once the bite slowed and the sonar didn’t look promising.

What impress our family the most though wasn’t capt’s skills fishing and boating, but it was his thoughtfulness. Here’s a few takeaways that I noticed. First off, when we arrived at the boat, Captain Lou had several cushiony lounge chairs ready for us so we would be more comfy on the ride in and out. Very thoughtful. Secondly, the seas were rough on our way out but rather than gunning the engines and slamming through the current to get to the fishing grounds faster, Capt slowed the engines whenever a big swell headed our way so that my elderly in-laws had a more comfortable trip. This was a luxury other boats speeding by us didn’t seem to care or think of. And last but not least, my wife and MiL was completely tired out towards the end of our 8 hour trip. Whenever it was time to reel up and move, he ran right over and helped them reel up their lines and then recast them once we were back on the fish. 12 ounces of weight on an 8 hour trip is no joke. We signed up for a fishing trip and was on so many fish we got a free arms and back workout.

I definitely recommend the Gianna Helena. Captain Lou keeps you on the fish.

My family and I had a BLAST!  My wife and I took both our boys (8 and 9) out with Capt. Lou. He was very knowledgeable of the local waters and even pointed out and stopped for whale watching which was an extra bonus.

Both boys (no exaggeration) caught 25-30 fish a piece of multiple species- fluke, sea bass, porgie, blue fish, bunkfish and more over the course of the day.

Within in minutes of getting out on the water we were reeling them in left and right. He even got my wife in on the action and she actually caught 2 fish on the same line.

Capt Lou as whole is an experienced fisherman who runs a top notch operation at a competitive price point. I would not hesitate to book again or refer him to anyone looking for a fun filled, action packed day on the water, novice or seasoned anglers alike.

What a great trip! Captain Lou is great. We had a awesome trip and caught a ton of fish. fishing in Montauk with a small group for An affordable price is a no brainier. Avoid the annoyance of tangling line on party boats and go fish with captain Lou, you will not regret it
