We are so pleased that we went on this trip.  We asked for an afternoon trip in hopes that we could catch some Tuna.    And we did catch Tuna and Mahi.  The boat is super comfortable and nice inside.  We enjoyed going inside the salon for a break.  The boat was equipped with some super nice quality equipment.  Sean was very sharp setting up the seven lines for trolling.  We had a great day, and we caught a bunch of Tuna and Mahi….. In February.

We had a great time on My Ohana with Captain Mike and First Mate Shawn!  Both of them were extremely personable and engaging - something I always worry about when not knowing who I’m putting my trust and experience with. There were 6 of us, including 3 teens, so we really wanted a great experience.  Mike and Shawn did not disappoint!

First off, Mike was very quick to respond to questions during booking and I’m the weeks leading up to our trip. He gave a lot of information (when, where, what was needed, what wasn’t needed, etc.).  Next, the boat was in awesome condition.  Clean, in perfect working condition, and a great stereo system.  Nothing screams ‘awesome time’ like fishing all day to 80s rock and roll!  Mike gave a lot of details on where we were headed, what the conditions should/will look like, and the conditions under the water.  Mike worked really hard to get us on the fish.  I think we covered 46 miles!

Shawn was hands down one of the best first mates I’ve seen on a charter.  He was really engaging with us all while working his ass off! He kept the lines in the water as much as possible, clearing weeds and replacing bait with speed.  When we had fish on the lines, he was really good with the kids.  He gave them great instructions without making them feel like they were in school.  The kids really liked Shawn and talked about him for several hours after we got off of the boat. 

My Ohana, Captain Mike and Shawn are definite recommendations and I know I will be fishing with them the next chance I get!

Captain Eric and mate Tommy know what they are doing. Tommy has been fishing for decades and knows how to assist you in catching fish. We almost caught our limit of Mahi and even got a 48” Wahoo. Good day on the water.

We had a great time even though we only caught 2 dolphin( Mahi) but that’s why it’s called fishing and not catching! We would go out again with Mike’s crew, Eric and Tommy! Thank you for a great time! Thank you to all First Responders!

Had a great time with Eric and Tommy, fishing started out a little tough as it was extremely hot but Eric and Tommy kept at it to get us on fish, we ended up catching 7 mahi, a grouper, and a white belly rose fish. Would definitely book again when we come back to key west!
