Captain Ryan Vincent is very knowledgeable about the waters. I was there during the beginning of February after the cold snap where many fish died off. I wanted to bring my fly rod to try out and he was okay with it. It was a bit slow at first but after hopping to a spot or two he got us on some fish! The main thing i wanted to chase was a bull redfish. He was straightforward and told me that the conditions weren’t the best for Bulls during this time of year. I appreciated the honesty because anyone can say I know a spot then you end up disappointed. In this case toward the end of our trip I got hooked on a 27 1/2 inch bull red and caught the fish i was hunting! Captain Ryan was cool, patient, and answered all my questions. I would 100% recommend.

The day was a bit chilly and the fish were slow at the start. After a changeup of location we found ourselves at limit for red fish before continuing on to target sheepshead. We ended up with what felt like a boat load before we were headed back to finish our day. The crew was fun, friendly, and great at finding the right spots to put us on fish, all while keeping us entertained - even when it felt like things had slowed down to some bait stealing nibbles. We definitely have this charterer on our radars for whenever we feel like we need to make another fun trip out to catch some good eating Louisiana cuisine.

Catain Mitch was awesome! As soon as the bait hit the water on the first spot.. we were peeling drag! When a spot slowed down, he’d move us to another location and back on the fish! He also was very helpful and patient with my wife (who doesn’t fish often) This trip exceeded my expectations and i will absolutely book them again next year for Mardi Gras!

The weather was uncooperative, storms wind and rain delayed our start, when we finally got on the water the bite was tough. The storms had the water churned up and the fish weren’t easy to find but the captain didn’t give up, we ended up with limits of Redfish and Black Drum and a bonus Flounder. We had a fantastic time and will be back as soon as possible! You simply cannot go wrong booking with Reel Cajun Fishing! Had we not caught a single keeper we would still go back.

The captain and his crew member were awesome! Very knowledgeable of the area and knew where the “spots” were to get to reeling in some fish. We hit the limit for one species pretty quick. The docking area was very organized and tidy, everyone around was very friendly, the boat and equipment were very well upkept and clean and SAFE! Both the captain and his crew member made sure our lines were always baited and in the water. My boys didn’t have to bait their own hooks, even though I had them to a few times, or unhook the fish. The fish were professionally cleaned at the dock and bagged up for us to take back. Overall, had an exceptional experience.
Captain Christian was our captain, definitely would recommend him! Captain Ryan was who I was mostly in contact with and was supposed to fish with but with a schedule mix up on my end, I was unable to, but communications with him were fast and professionally handled.
