Jason is a fantastic guide! He had us on the water and in place to catch King Salmon before the sun came up. Tippy Dam is super busy at this time of season, but Jason put us on fish and gave us an education in fishing for salmon and steelhead. Can I say? The man navigated the Manistee in the pitch dark and mist. I can’t wait to book with him next year!

We didn’t catch anything with Jason but we could tell he was as frustrated as we were. I believe he even kept us out longer just so we could at least come home with one. Just wasn’t in our cards that day. Regardless Jason never stopped trying and even threw out some lines with us. I would book him again.

My husband and I had the best time on the river with Captain Jason - he knows the spots and will guide you so well. I caught a large king salmon on my second cast!  We caught two and will have some nice fish dinners. The fall colors were just starting to turn - it is so beautiful on the Manistee River. Highly recommend - we would love to go back for steelhead season!  If you book this trip with Jason, it will be like fishing with a good friend.
