  Weather had been rainy leading up to trip, forecast for trip day was good weather- unfortunately windy, choppy, couldn’t anchor and water cold where we went. Capt should have cancelled or found alternate spots rather than sticking with standard spots and hoping drifting or trolling would work. Only bite/catch was a piece of garbage bag. Expensive sightseeing trip.

  Unfortunately the wind picked up at the last minute and it was too late to cancel and with the restricted fishing area that was available to fish we didn't have many options. We always want to make our clients happy and I wish things would have worked out better for the both of us.

  Excellent trip, boat, and crew!

  We had a really fun fishing trip with Captain Ritchy and first mate Matt! The boat was spacious for our family of 5, with plenty of room in the cabin and canopy to get a break from the sun/rain as needed. We did the 6-hour morning trip into the Chesapeake bay, starting with trying to catch striped bass. They weren't biting, so we moved up river and there we caught lots of perch, catfish, spot, and even a few oysters. Matt was super helpful and friendly with the kids, baiting the hooks and removing the fish when they started rolling in. Captain Ritchy found the fish and expertly anticipated the storm that rolled in, getting us back to the dock before the worst of it hit. Matt cleaned the fish for us and we had a delicious fish fry at home that night, the perch and catfish were very tasty.

  Great trip on a hot afternoon

  Capt Ritchy and crew did a great job. It was the first time out for most of our group but we were still able to fill our striped bass limit for the day.

  Great day to catch rockfish

  5 Hour Trip (AM) on July 10, 2024 • 4 adults

  Went out in the morning. This is our second time doing this trip, 2 years in a row. The captain and his mate do an awesome job helping and finding the fish. We casted for rockfish and caught our limit in an hour, plus some that had to go back. We will go again next year.
