Had a great 4 hours on Lake Rerewhakaaitu on a chilly morning with my two boys. Luckily skipper "Captain Julian" reminded us to bring warm clothes. Landed 9 rainbows with a few getting away. Glad to say the big one did not get away, this beast caught by my youngest. Thanks Captain, from 1st mate, 2nd mate, and cabin boy. Dries.

Great birthday present.

Myself and my 2 boys spent 3 hours on Lake Rotoiti with Julian. It was a tough day for fishing but he worked hard to put us onto 4 solid Rainbows including a cracking 3.5kg fish to finish the morning. My boys were stoked. He really knows his stuff and was a pleasure to share a boat with. Just wish we were in a position to do a longer trip! Highly recommend getting on board.

Julian the captain was an absolute amazing man. on the day of the trip it was the first time me and my granddad had been fishing for 13 years together and Julian help Grandad on and off the boat held great 
conversations and made our day absolutely amazing together. will 100% be coming back

Great morning of fishing Browns and Rainbows

Julian picked me up early and off we headed.  While the boat was being lauched I caught 2 trout.  That was the start to a fabulous day.  In all we caught about 13 trout - all released back into the lake and my PB of 4kg.  Best for Jullian as well.  Will certainly recommrnd this trip and will be back to do it again.

Julian is a friendly and highly skilled fishing guide. He located the fish and gave us excellent advice on how to successfully catch them. Money well spent, highly recommended.

Great trip

Julian picked me up at 08:00 & we set off for a local river. He provided the waders, boots & rod & we worked our way up the river catching a few nice sized trout.  After that we headed for a spot on Lake Rotarua & caught more trout there. I have fly fished for about the last 10 years but never had any coaching. I found it a really useful day. Thouroughly recommended.

My ten year-old son and I had a fantastic time fishing with Julian.  He was knowledgeable, has tons of local fishing experience and was a pleasure to spend time with.  We had a brilliant experience catching some beautiful fish.

A Positive Experience From Start To Finish

We had a great day with Julian. My wife is a novice angler and I'm a bit more proficient.  Julian geared us up with neoprene socks and wading boots that were a great fit. He brought pruning shears to help clear the trail. We went to a great stretch in the morning which was quite productive. He shared his knowledge of the river and history of the area with us. The sandwiches he provided for lunch were awesome. Afternoon fishng was mostly with dry flies in shallow gin-clear water. The experience exceeded all my expectations. Julian was very adept at spotting fish and gave good directional instructions so that I could see the fish. The afternoon was epic. I'd recommend Julian to anybody fishing this area. My wife and I are already making plans for a return visit and we'll get Julian as our guide for a couple of days.

Julian is a great guide for wade fishing some beautiful stretches of water.

Julian was extremely helpful and ensured that both my wife and I caught the biggest rainbow trout we have ever hooked. We will be comparing all future fly fishing experiences with this one!
