While temperatures are still not perfect for landing Largemouth Bass, they might be just right for Striped Bass. And if you're willing to treat them with live bait, the edge of the river channel is the spot to be.

With temperatures reaching 60°F, the spawning season may begin as early as February, and species like Bass will start their migration. These cooler waters also bring delicious Crappie.

Early spring is prime time for targeting the long-awaited Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass. No avid fisherman will miss out on the opportunity to catch these two!

While Largemouth Bass are going strong, this might be the last chance to pursue them before summer hits. Seasoned anglers know that it's not easy to fish for Bass in summer.

With the excitement over the Largemouth Bass spawning season ceasing, this is the time for Striped Bass and White Bass to come to the spotlight before the summer heat takes over.

This is the prime time for targeting White Bass. And don't forget to meet one of the kids' favorites – Sunfish! They're fun to catch and even better to eat, so come and get your fill.&nbsp;

Warm summer waters host a variety of species from Bass and Catfish to species that are just beginning to emerge, such as Brown Trout.

Summer is probably the best time for targeting Brown Trout. And, while you might not be a fan of summer's insect hatches, Brown Trout most certainly are.

Weekends in September can be busy, and Canyon Lake may reach its boating capacity with everyone rushing over to fish. This is the period when Bass fishing picks up again.

Fall is the time when White Bass fishing is solid and under no circumstances are you to skip on them! White Bass swim in schools, so don't be surprised if you catch more than one.

When temperatures start falling, this is when you can expect Rainbow Trout. They don't manage well in waters warmer than 70°F, so it's time for them to come and play.

Whereas the lake might not be brimming with tons of different species, you can catch Catfish and Crappie. What's more, Canyon Lake radiates with the magnificent Boat Parade of Lights!
