Captain Mike was fun and professional.  My son recently join the Air Force and I wanted him to enjoy the trip; which he did.  I would have preferred to catch something other than shark, but maybe that was just the time of year (early June).  Overall we had a good time.

The half day trip started off with great weather and a nice cruise to catch some fresh bait. Our day gave us a catch for each of us with a nice 50 - 60 lb. shark at the end. Nice boat and will charter Capt. Ron again.

It was fun and entertaining

I have chartered a handful of similar fishing chaters and this was the worst.  Originally scheduled for 7:30am they asked to change it the night before to 8:00am and then when we arrived 15 minutes early as requested got a text that Captain Ricky was running 10 minutes late.  He showed up with his dog which was fine, but he didnt mention it or ask as opposed to our last charter “black dog charter” who asked if it was ok to bring his dog.  He never introduced himself, he never asked our names, I had may 8 year old son with me and I was the one that was baiting his hook and helping him cast 98% of the time.  The boat wasnt ready, he only got around to cleaning up the empty bottles and cans on deck as we were heading back to the dock.  He didn’t have bait and we ended up spending more time than usual trying to catch bait and then went to buy some in the middle of the trip.  He gave us 10 extra minutes for being late and 10 extra minutes for stopping to buy bait, but be on time and come ready for $500.  We caught 3 keepers and asked him to fillet them as was advertised, he said he could and had to borrow a knife from someone on the dock - point being he didnt offer and wasnt ready to do what we purchased.  Look, I don’t get any joy out of writing a bad review and almost didn’t write anything, but the website kept emailing and asking for a review, so here we are.  Could he have just had a bad day, sure - but sucks for me and my son.
