Captain Mark Rose did what he said he’d do. He put us on fish. Started the day with over 2 hours of consistent largemouth action. Once we had fish in the boat, we moved to another location to chase some big smallmouth on beds. Weather wasn’t conducive to sight fishing smallies on the main lake, so after a brief period, Captain Mark put us back on largemouth in another location. As we passed other boats and anglers throughout the day, we seemed to be one of the few boats pulling in bass. Between my wife and I, we landed about two dozen, with enough bites and swipes in between to account for consistent action throughout the whole trip. Will book with Captain Mark again. He took what the lake offered today. Despite preferring smallmouth fishing, he put us on largemouth to get fish in the boat instead of chasing smallmouth with little chance of success. Thanks Mark.

Trip was a blast. Fun, educational and challenging day of fishing. Challenging due to the weather, not Mark! Mark was an awesome guide. Lake erie conditions were a no-go so we went down to the Allegheny river. It was beautiful and scenic and we saw some cool wildlife as well. Mark is the first guide i’ve ever been out with and as far as smallmouth bass go i won’t ever book with anyone else. Mark is funny, engaging and extremely knowledgeable and despite the odds out us on some great fish. Will definitely be coming back. Thanks Mark. Hopefully will see you in florida soon!

Had a great trip with Captain Mark. He put us on a ton of bass. Fishing slowed down after the morning bite so we moved locations and fished with jerkbaits and caught an additional 20 or so fish. Probably 30+ bass in total. Biggest was a 5.5 very nice bass on a jerkbait. Weather could not have been better. Great experience. Would absolutely recommend and will be booking again.

Mark was great and we had a really good time, so nice to enjoy something like this with my husband and son. The website…not so much. I received several reminders of the upcoming trip with an option to “contact your captain”, which I did and never received a response.  Apparently the messages were not forwarded to our captain. The first contact we had was when Captain Mark called me the night before to confirm because he hadn’t heard anything from me. No communication between the website and our captain…made me feel terrible…tough to feel like you’re getting off on the right foot with your trip when it starts like this.
Also…no mention of needing a Lake Erie add-on to our Pennsylvania fishing license. Thankfully, Captain Mark was able to assist us in getting these before we even launched the boat. Again, communication on behalf of Fishingbooker.com is definitely in need of some work.

Capt Mark knows the waters and techniques to have a great day on the lake.  It was only 40 degrees but he still got us on Smallies quick and we racked up close to 30 catches on the day, including some monsters.  Definitely recommend Capt Mark and will be coming back again in fall.
