We booked a last minute fishing charter with Captain Dave after another boat cancelled on us. We feel very lucky that the cancellation happened otherwise we would have never met Dave. He was kind, knowledgeable and fun! Our 3 boys, ages 15, 13 and 9 had a blast. Dave made sure each one caught multiple fish at different locations, then ended the evening with a ride on a beautiful lake. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Captain Dave if he is available!

Captain Dave leading up to our trip kept in communication with us, helping us with getting to the location of where we would be meeting him. He was very pleasant and super helpful throughout the whole trip and was great with my 13 year old nephew. He took us to some great spots and all 3 of us were able to catch a fish. My husband mainly wanted to catch a peacock bass and captain Dave did everything he could to get him on one.
We originally had scheduled a morning fishing trip but then ended up rescheduling to an evening fishing trip and it was gorgeous for fishing! We couldn’t have asked for better weather and better yet we couldn’t have asked for a better guide as well and one who played great music too.

Throughout the 3 hour excursion, he shared his insights and tips on how to catch the elusive Large Mouth Bass, Mayan Cichlid, and Peacock Bass that inhabit the canals in the area. He was patient and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed to catch fish, and he even provided us with top-of-the-line fishing gear.

We caught more fish than we ever thought possible, thanks to Captain Dave’s expertise. The Large Mouth Bass, Mayan Cichlid, and Peacock Bass were biting left and right, and we had an absolute blast reeling them in. Captain Dave’s passion for fishing was contagious, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about making our fishing trip a success. It was my girlfriend’s 1st time fishing and she had an amazing time. Her face would light up everything she pulled in a fish. It really brought out her inner child and she truly was like a kid in a candy store. Dave was extremely helpful with her and my 9 year old niece. He made sure they caught some fish and educated us along the way. My only complaint would be that my girlfriend is already talking about getting her own equipment when we get back home and she’s gonna want to go fishing all the time which will cut into my golf time. I guess there are worse problems to have. Would definitely recommend.
