Nathan was wonderful from start to finish; great communication leading into the trip and worked hard throughout the day to get me on fish. 

We set out at 7a, decided last minute to extend another two hours and we were off hunting the entire time.  No hesitation to change spots, reset the drift, vary baits….by his accounts it was slow, but I had more than enough for a week’s worth of dinners.

Boat was quite comfortable, although we had exceptionally calm waters, and he certainly keeps it clean.  While I brought two rods of my own, we also used his; loved that he ran light tackle with Penn reels—want overkill so even the smaller fish were great fights.

If you are looking for a small boat with a Captain who will work diligently to make sure you walk away happy, 9-5 Fishing is a great choice.

We booked this charter on the one day we were in town during spring break, with our 8 and 10 year old kids. It was a windy day so we were limited on where we could go. Captain Nathan communicated continuously with us, adjusted as needed for the weather and ensured our kids had a memorable experience. We have lots of amazing fish stories from this trip! This was our first visit to the area and wanted a “quick fishing” trip, so we booked for only 2 hours. We told Captain Nathan we we would like to “catch our lunch”.
Within 15 minutes we had caught enough live bait to keep us busy. Nathan took to a spot , baited the hooks and gave us a quick but thorough lesson. On our first cast, we were catching Mangrove Snapper. We had a Barracuda eat one of the fish on line. The boat was excellent, the equipment was nice, and Nathan kept very busy baiting the ours hooks.
We caught our limit, Nathan cleaned the fish and we had them cooked at Lazy Days. Blackened Mangrove Snapper. Delicious!!
I would definitely fish with Nathan again, however I would request fishing for Tarpon or Mahi and fishing for 4 hours.

This trip was the best I’ve had yet! Nathan got us on fish all day. We caught six giant yellow fin snapper and had them cleaned up for dinner. We also caught other varieties of fish as well. Nathan answered all of our fishing questions and was the best and most patient instructor. We learned a lot. We visited two different spots out in the deep sea. The second spot we caught the largest nurse shark I’ve ever seen! Talk about exhilarating! WOW! We also did some fishing in the channel. I can’t say enough about the fantastic time we had!
