I am a marine biologist from the University of Norway with a Masters degree in Sharks. I have always loved fishing since I was young. We had a boat on the fjord and I would go out as much as possible. In fact, I was inspired by Hooper in 'Jaws' to become a marine biologist. I just feel relaxed on the water and am fascinated by marine life. In 2006 I bought a boat and started charters on the Oslofjord. In 2007 I moved to Costa Rica and my wife and I started Bahia Rica Adventures. We now have 3 boats and run fishing tours as well as other water-based tours.

    Most fun adventure in Costa Rica

    Half Day Trip (AM) • 4 adults

    Amazing! We took the half day AM fishing tour and Chato and Stephan exceeded our expectations! We caught a total of over 12 fish in the short period of time from red snapper, to pompano, to mackerel and more, ending with the highlight of a rooster fish that took 20-30 minutes to bring in. Chato and Stephan knew where to go and utilized their technology. Chato is a local and has over 30 years of experience. He frequently kept us informed and considered our objectives. Thank you for a memorable experience!

    A jack of all trades

    Half Day Trip (PM) • 2 adults

    As always, had a great fishing trip/time with Captain Thomas and Cato. I only caught two Jacks but one of them was over 35 pounds and took 25 minutes to bring in. Missed four or five from losing bait or missing the poppers/jigs. Alot of action and minimal boat travel to fishing locations. This was my second time with this captain and first mate and there will be a third one in the future.

    We had a blas even thought it was a little rough. We got 2 really big jacks One well over 30lbs and had quite few bites more. 2 big fish also missed the topwater. I look forward to some revenge.

    Catch fish Capt. Thomas

    Full Day Trip • 2 adults

    My son (19yo) and I love to fish and have used fishing booker with varied results in the past. Thomas and his mate were experienced, friendly, professional - and most importlantly put us on the fish. Our second fish was a 35-40lb rooster. we caught 30+ fish of varied species. The scenery is stunning, beautiful water, good food, and a comfortable boat. I highly recommend this charter.

    Stunning and plentiful fishing

    Thomas and his crew managed to orientate our outing in the best way possible, targeting the best places to optimise our chances to encounter the various fish. We managed to catch a lot, got well acquainted with the pelicans, sardines and foaming waters breaking on dark rocks … Wonderful memories in store ! Thank you Vigdis and Thomas

    We recently spent the day fishing with Chato and Pollito and had a great time. We went with the intention of catching Rooster. Fishing was a but slow but the crew was determined to make it happen and they absolutely did!

Big tuna!

We went out in search of some offshore action. The billfiish were not present but we found the tunas and had our hands full with a big one that the clients had to tag team. After 1 hr and 15 min we could land this beautiful yellowfin tuna.

Super fun day inshore

We started the day with a massive rooster. Then it totally died down until we found the good spot where we caught lots of good sized jacks, several big rose spotted snappers, 4 moray eels and a few other smaller fish. We had mahis chasing on top but they wouldn't commit.

Fun fishing for kids!

WE had a blast fishing with my friend Aina and her twin boys. We caught a monster seabass, several nice big rose spotted snappers, 4 mackerels, a mahi mahi, several jacks and green runners.

Non-stop inshore action

A little bit of a rainy day but what great action! We caught 12 mahi mahi trolling and casting. We followed up with some jigging and caught over 20 jacks, 1 roosterfish and 6 rose spotted snappers! Awsome day.

Nice variety inshore

Great day on the water with a varied bag. Catch of the day a big cubera snapper. In addition yellowtail snapper, rose spotted snapper and a nice roosterfish ,in addition to a ton of jacks. All fish released.
