great fishing trip ,great captain and crew

    8 Hour Trip

We did the deep sea fishing with cap chirak and had an amazing time. chirak and his crew are terrific hosts and, although he might not appreciate this, he DOES know where the fish are!! We went out with a group of 8 people. There were seats for everyone and we went out for about a hour+ to find the right location. You still see land if that is concern. As soon as we got to the spot, the crew had poles and lines in the water for all (lines have double hook with double bait). We rotate around the ship so everyone has the opportunity for all locations on the boat, plus keep track of the lines. Within minutes the fish were caught - lots of fish (red snapper, sea bass, white fish). We cheered, we tangle lines, we lose bait and cap chirak and the crew are there with us. They quickly replace tangled lines with new pole, rebait the hooks, take photographs, even set the hook and hand off the poles until you get the hang of setting the hook. Every so often, we bring in the lines and the boat is moved back to the original location since we drift. Yes this is an awesome time! On the way back we watched them clean the fish which is pretty impressive. Prior to leaving, One item to keep in mind is that is deep sea fishing versus sport fishing. With deep sea you stay in one spot and drop lines; with sport fishing you are trolling looking for the marlins+. Since you are in one location rocking, sea sickness is a concern. I did take Dramamine and still was ill. In fact, 6 of the 8 of us were ill and we took a vote to come back a bit early (we had caught about 40 fish by then). cap chirak gave me some good tips on overcoming the sea sickness, which did work the first time. I probably should have taken more Dramamine during the outing. BTW - as soon as we started heading back, the sea sickness was gone. Regardless of the sea sickness, I would DEFINITELY do this again, and again, and again. I certainly didn't feel ill bringing in the two sea bass on the same line, and my 16 year old son never got ill (personally I think playing first shooter video games helped him NOT get sea sick!). cap chirak and the crew are AWESOME and made this one of the best fishing trips we have done in years thanks
