We had two adults and two kids 13 and 15. Captain Andy loves kids and catered to their fishing rods and bait while also helping to cast the line in strategic ways so we were able to catch flounder, spotted trout, pin fish, the dreaded cat fish and others!

He let us know his story on how he got started in the industry of chartering fishing expeditions since his big move from Boston back on Feb 19 of 1996!

Captain Andy was great. Very knowledgeable about the waters we fished and the equipment we used. Not only did we catch fish, we also saw a group of manatees and other marine life in the crystal clear gulf coast waters.

This was our first charter fishing experience with the entire family. And we booked the two hour (11-1) late morning trip. In fact, we were late and missed 15 min. But we still had an absolute blast. Captain Andy (and his new step son, Captain Chris) got us out on the water quickly. And what better thing to do during shark week but to fish for sharks. Three of us caught sharks and the fourth (and most competitive) caught a catfish. It was a beautiful boat, great stories, and a perfect way to spend the day. Next time we’ll book 5 hours (and make sure to arrive on time). Thanks again.

We went on the 1pm trip on a 95 degree day. So i didn’t expect much. But Capt Andy had us catching fish within 15 minutes of stepping in the boat.

Sharks, snook, snapper and cats. We at times were catching faster than he could hook bait. Andy is a great guy, like being out fishing with a friend.

He was very informative, friendly and respectful. If you feel a little intimidated by a charter fishing trip, don’t worry about that with Capt. Andy. He took care of baiting, casting and netting. You just do the fun stuff, reeling them in while they fight, and holding up your trophy. Can’t say enough positive about this experience. A+++++ . We will go again when we are in St. Pete and wouldn’t even think about chartering anyone else.

Also, just fyi, The charters take care of the licensing so you don’t need a fishing license, poles or bait, just bring yourself and friends. Highly recommend polarized glasses, hats, and sun screen. If you tried to fish on your own, getting your fishing license and renting a boat for the day, you would spend as much as getting a charter. You’re better off going with a charter and it probably cost less while catching more fish.
