For him, the best part of the job is being able to teach new techniques to customers and see them get better at it. He loves being on the water every day.

Fishing for Crappies on Lac Du Flambeau Flowage

We had a guided fishing trip with Fred Palermo, Off the Hook Fishing Adventures, we started out the morning a little slow in the first two spots, the Crappies weren’t cooperating, Fred took us to a third spot and the action really picked up. My grandson was the star of the day catching a lot of nice one, he had the prime spot in the bow of the boat. Overall we caught about 40 fish, we took home 20 really nice 11” or larger crappies, overall a wonderful day fishing.

Fred was great-excellent communication before and during our trip. He was extremely patient and kind to my two inexperienced children (10 & 9). We caught plenty of Crappie and had an awesome Northwoods fishing experience thanks to Fred.

What's biting with Off The Hook Fishing Adventures in Minocqua

The weather is steadily cooling down and Musky is officially the main game in town. If you're lucky, this month may even produce a trophy catch – as long as you've got what it takes. Alternatively, the Smallmouth Bass and Crappie bite is also good.
