Greg Haut is a Bass tournament fisherman, competing in up to 30 competitions a year. He's a Pro Staff angler and is sponsored by a number of brands, including Sirius, McGill, and P-Line. He's a Wisconsin local and has been fishing his whole life and guiding since 2006. Greg caters his business to anglers of all levels but he particularly enjoys teaching beginners, especially kids, how to fish. He's an art teacher during the school year so he's excellent with children and knows how to keep them entertained throughout the whole day. Half Day Trip – Weekday (PM) • 2 adults • 1 childHighly recommend this guide! The guide did a fantastic job with me and my 11 yr old son. All of the bass were great size - really exceeded my expectations. Lost two really big ones but landed all the other ones we hooked up on. The guide went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic time, great equipment and boat and super knowledgeable about the fish and lake and very personable.

Half Day Trip – Weekdays (AM) • 2 adults • 1 childI booked this trip for my son who loves fishing. Had such a great time. He caught a walleye! The captain showed my son new fishing techniques and helped my son every time. We would love to come back! I would strongly reccomend this for kids who love to fish.

Half Day Trip – Weekdays (AM) • 2 adultsWe targeted smallmouth bass. The bite was there, but light. Greg was exceedingly patient teaching us the tricks of a smallmouth bite. He worked hard, using several rigs, to keep us on fish. He gave us a large amount of extra time and asked for no additional payment. Helpful, friendly, and highly competent. I would highly recommend this guide!

Full Day Trip – Weekdays • 3 adults • 1 childWe fished Green Lake, WI and have a new perspective on fishing for bass in the middle of summer and learned a lot about the different areas of the lake. Greg was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. Would definitely recommend.

When you’re with the outdoors, you will use slow pitch techniques for catching Lake Trout. We are jigging. There is no trolling here. This was a great fish that will be on the menu. He was very excited to pull this fish in from the deep.

Campfire Lake Trout wanted

He came to the outdoor searching for a good time he caught two eater Lake trout and a bunch of Cisco‘s. He was on his way up north even further and decided to stop fish for the afternoon bite and catch his dinner. His friends were so excited when he told me how good they tasted over the open fire I knew that he will be back for more sometime in the future.

This father and son had a great time we were chasing Smalley’s Lakers Cisco’s. It’s always great when a father and a son can catch fish. Make new memories and have a great day in the water. The bite Green Lake is really starting to heat up and it is only gonna continue to get better and better for the remainder of this season. It was great that they got on them and had a great day. Patient pays in the pouring rain

Despite getting drenched by a few pop-up showers on this morning's trip, this young angler never gave up. He stayed focused, worked hard, and his determination paid off with a beautiful walleye!
I'm incredibly proud of his patience, perseverance, and positive attitude throughout the day. He missed a few fish while learning to set the hook, but that's all part of becoming a better angler. Considering his age and the challenging weather conditions, he did an outstanding job.
Watching young anglers learn, grow, and build confidence on the water is one of the best parts of guiding. I can't wait to have him back out with TheHautdoors for another adventure. Great job today!
