I booked this fishing trip to catch a bucket list fish-rooster fish. not only did i check roosters off the list, i ended the trip with 2 other fish from my list; an african pompano and a 9 foot 180lb blue marlin. The crew worked extremely hard to put us on fish. I booked a 5 hour trip and i called it after 3.5 hours and headed back to the marina because my arms were hurting from catching fish. on the way in, we stopped and got to see a few whales. overall 11/10 would recommend. this charter company will be my choice every time i am in Cabo.

We had an amazing half day trip and experience with Carolina. It took about thirty minutes to get out to our first spot for trolling and we were initially targeting Mahi, but after about an hour of trolling a marlin passed by the boat and the captain threw out a line with live bait in the path of the marlin and managed to hook it. It was pretty incredible to watch. Once we landed the first marlin a second marlin hit about thirty minutes later and this time my wife reeled this one in. The crew were incredibly knowledgeable and it was easy to tell they were trying to put us on fish. Additionally, we unexpectedly came upon a pod of dolphins and for about twenty minutes the crew was able to position the boat so the dolphins would swim under and around the boat. Truly an unforgettable trip and we will be looking to use Carolina again. A couple of things to point out. One, you will need to purchase a fishing license which they have available to purchase dockside. It was quick and easy. Secondly, Carolina will coordinate the cleaning of the fish; however you will need to bring some cash for this. The marlin we kept was $30 USD.

We came to Los Cabos for our sons wedding and decided to check Marlin fishing off our bucket list. We caught a 220lb Blue striped Marlin within 3.5 hrs and then landed a beautiful 36lb Dorado after that. We couldn’t have had a better trip with the Father and Son team of Julio and Julian on M/V Ivonne.

So we told the crew (Captain William and First Mate Jorge that we would like to start out by catching anything and then work towards getting a Marlin. We began trolling for Mahi Mahi and despite the crew working hard changing baits and locations for about 3.5 hours, nothing, not a nibble.  So the Captain asked if we wanted to go to an area with some Marlin action. We headed there and saw a few other boats with marlins on the line. Then came our turn when a marlin hit one of our lines. My wife got in the fighting chair and began to reel in. After a big struggle and the awesome assistance of the crew, she was able to land a striped Marlin, which has been a lifetime dream of hers. Also, on the way in, we also caught a Mahi Mahi. Thank you Captain William and Jorge for such a wonderful experience.

Couldn’t have asked for better Captain’s and crew .  Capt Omar and Miguel( brothers ) were great .  I asked to catch Bonita and Rooster fish and we nailed them .  I was so tired of reeling , that they accommodated my wife’s request for whale watching .  After a two hour break . We went for marlin .  And , bam , a marlin on the line . We battled for 50 min, we help from Capt on boat and Miguel giving my arms a rest , we landed a beautiful 106 “ marlin .  Can’t say enough about this crew .  Capt Omar , Miguel and mate Jose , thank you for a great day on the water .
