What a day of tuna fishing out of punta mita.  The captain (Abraham) met us at the biat and asked what we wanted to fish for. We wanted to go for some sportfish and he indicated that there have been good tuna activity and sightings of spinner dolphins that morning.  That sounded perfect and needed a little extra time for the day.  Our two boys each landed a tuna (20 lbs and 40lbs) which was great and watching the action of chasing the birds, watching the spinner dolphins and casting out for tuna was truly entertaining!  We’re from the east coast and are on the water regularly and have never seen anything like that.  Abraham and his first mate were great and catered to our every need.  They then made us fresh ceviche on the boat, prepared our catch and recommended a good restaurant to prepare the fish walkable from the marina.  The restaurant, Mariscos Tomas, is family run and the owner and his wife did a great job!  Highly recommend

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) had a great afternoon out on the Ocean fishing with Marietas Sport Fishing!! Our guides Eduardo and Juan provided us with an amazing day full of fishing and fun!!  We caught 10 fish (rainbow runner, needle fish, 2 different types of snapper, mahi mahi, mackerel), saw many whales and even had a little dance party!!  It was our kids favourite part of their first trip to Mexico! I highly recommend booking a trip with these guys!!

Captain Jose was great! He took us to several areas to ensure we caught several different kinds of fish. He took us to an area where we saw whales all around us! Jose was very accommodating with a last-minute change adding more people to our trip. He recommended a great restaurant, La Cabana, to have our fresh fish cooked. We had a great trip & highly recommend them!

We had an amazing 3-hour fishing trip with Eduardo and Fabian—an absolutely fabulous and helpful crew. One of us was an avid river fisherman, and one of us was a non-fisherwoman, but we both had a blast! We caught six different types of fish, including a roosterfish, Spanish mackerel, red snapper, grouper, and a jack crevalle. The crew even recommended a local spot where they cooked up our fresh catch—such a delicious way to end the trip. Highly recommend this outing to anyone, whether you’re experienced or brand new to fishing!

Overall the experience was what we were looking for. A few hiccups, it was quite windy and the crew was not able to provide live bait as they couldn’t catch anything in the harbor area prior to leaving.

We had one fish on, which got away, and then didn’t catch anything. We tried to go to several areas, they communicated with other boats, it looked like no one was catching anything. They did what they could.

We did however see a pod of dolphins, a whale surfaced, and several schools of jellyfish. With the group we had, 3 adults, 3 children under 10, it was overall a great experience and everything went very smoothly for a very fair price. Would do it again!
