My 13-year old son and I booked Still Waters for a six-hour trip and Captain Chris did not disappoint.  He was well prepared and we had a great day fishing a variety of spots utilizing different tackle configurations and techniques.  We could tell that Capt. Captain Chris worked as hard as any fishing guide we have ever been with.  We tried several techniques focusing on a variety of species.  But some days fish just don’t cooperate.  We stayed in to the very end   The final results were a great time, a lot of small fish of various species and some nice catch and release flounder.  We will return to fish to fish with him.

2/3 of us had never been on the intracoastal waterway and had little experience fishing but we were all excited to get out there. Chris took his time teaching us how and where to cast and gave us tips that helped us land fish all day. He stopped and let us admire dolphins on our way to another spot and stayed busy tying on new rigs for us to try. The weather conditions were not ideal but Chris was insistent on getting us where the fish were. We used multiple different tactics targeting various types of fish, which we had success doing. We’ve been going on charters in Carolina Beach for 5+ years and this was the most enjoyable experience, regardless of the conditions. Chris is a great guide, and very knowledgeable in various different types of fishing. We’ll look forward to getting with him again next time we’re here.

We had a great day celebrating my Grandson’s birthday on our fishing trip with Captain Chris. He was a very “down to earth” guy and took the necessary time to spend with all of us including my 5 year old Grandson. My Grandson had a great time and is looking to forward when he can go again. I will definitely use his services again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to charter a future fishing trip.
