I'm Captain John Walters owner and one of the captains. Third-generation fisherman on the Space Coast of Florida, and I've been fishing since the early '80s. For decades, endless hours have been spent fishing these waters. With this experience, I've won three Tripletail tournaments in a row and have also won a new boat. I've had great success in local Kingfish tournaments. I also specialize in fishing multiple species. My goal is to use my expertise and diverse approach to catch as many fish as possible to bring smiles to my clients. We try not to target any one species just whatever biting that day. So you can catch as many fish as possible. We throw mostly live shrimp around the jetties and docks in the port. This gives you a better chance of catching everything. So, book a trip, and one of us will put a smile on your face!

    Great day of fishing with Captain John

    4 Hour Trip (AM) • 2 adults

    Captain John was the best Captain we’ve had, and me and my son have done many charters. He talked to us all the time about what to expect and what to do. We caught enough sheep pads for dinner and then we just went for fun and went to catch the big boys. We caught those two but they’re not very good eating so they were just fun to fish. I would highly recommend Captain John. He is very personable and knowledgeable about the water.

    Best Captain Ever

    3 Hour Trip – Inshore snapper (5PM • 3 adults

    John was AMAZING he was so kind to my Mom who is 86 and she had such an amazing time that’s all she has talked about!!! I cooked her , her Red Snapper she caught for her supper tonight!!! It was such good fish and such WONDERFUL FISHING FUN!!! Thank you so much Captain John…

    4 Hour Trip – Inshore snapper (PM) • 4 adults

    We had a blast. John was great with keeping at eye on weather and communicating changes so we had a better trip which worked out great. My son (13) loves fishing and my daughter (16) was in it for a tan but left a fishing lover. We caughter a variety of fish. Would 100% recommend!

    My Kids said best day of fishing EVER!

    2 Hour Trip – Inshore (1PM) • 4 adults • 1 child

    We had a blast with John! he was so accommodating and welcoming. we caught about 25 fish and they were big fighters! He taught my kids how to bait their own hooks with multiple live bait. We have done big charters before and this beats those hands down. My elderly father had a blast too he caught him a big fish and enjoyed watching the kids have so much fun! Definitely will be back!

    Three of us did the 6 pm charter and we had a great time. We had fish to take home with us and caught a others that we tossed back. Captian John was on point and kept us baited up the whole time.

What's biting with Port Fishing Charters – 22' in Port Canaveral

If there is such a thing as a shoulder season in southeast Florida, this is it. Expect fewer crowds on the beaches and in the charter boats. Wahoo and Sailfish are found offshore, with Bull Redfish spawning inshore.

So Im a commercial fisherman 4 th generation.I started charter fishing in 2008 .I run from Jacksonville to Jupiter inlet chasing fish.Today in Sebastian inlet.No shortage of fish from pompano to triple tail.Pompano average 2lbs and triple average 7lbs.Book now. Port Canaveral still catching good fish too.For snook,Trips and pompano.I just like the chase.So I travel to see what’s out there.Tight lines my friends.I rarely take commercial pictures.Old pictures from last month but the same results.
