Had a great time and caught 20 nice fish in about 4 hours time. I would recommend Polly to anyone.

Captain Jesus was amazing from the time I reached out to him to the end of the charter. To start, my uber driver dropped me off at the wrong marina.  My uber app stopped working and he drove over and picked me up.  He told me up front what was biting and what fish we were going to look for.  I told him I wanted rooster fish and wasn’t concerned about any bill fish as I have caught them all. The trip started out a bit slow as the water wasn’t too warm.  He worked very hard trying different techniques.  He continuously was reaching out to other boats who were also experiencing a slow day.  One boat was able to hook up a rooster fish.  We headed that way and I caught two nice sized roosters within about 25 minutes and I was able to check those off my bucket list of fish. We caught a few more fish before heading back in.  He was very nice, knowledgeable, and made the trip fun.  I will definitely be going back out with him.

First, my charter request for this trip was not the typical request.  I am not staying somewhere that I could cook my fish and won’t be home quick enough to have it shipped. So, I asked for a catch and release trip and Jesus was happy to give me such a trip. I read a decent amount of reviews in here about Jesus and his lack of speaking english.  This is simply not true, Jesus english was perfectly fine and I had no issues communicating with him.

Jesus knew I wanted roosterfish and other shore fish and took me to the goods. We also picked up live bait outside of the marina, so have $30USD or $500 pesos ready to go.  Unlike some charters, Jesus handed me the rod and let me feel the bites and set the hooks - it felt like real fishing and not someone just handing me a rod with a fish on it.  We were quickly on the fish and landing roosterfish and spanish mackerels pretty consistently all morning.  We only paused because a few Humpback Whales and dolphin showed up and he was nice enough to get us some amazing views of such an enormous creature.

I know I wasn’t going after the sportfish, but Jesus still provided me with a fantastic day of fishing.  His boat was clean and comfortable and everything was in working order.  I truly have nothing but positive things to say about my day with Jesus.
