Thank you captain Scott for yesterday’s 4 hour fishing trip.
My son Craig’s first cast and he caught a small hammer head shark quickly followed on by my other son jack hooking in to a cat fish.
The day continued and the fish kept coming.
I myself landed 2 nice trout around 19 and 20 inches and my son another 2 keeper’s that captain Scott filleted and the end our our successful fishing experience.
I also caught a small Grouper that was returned safely along with my boys hooking many more catfish and other smaller fish that were all returned by the captain.
Captain Scott moved us locations around 3 times and kept us on the fish .
I would definitely recommend Captain Scott or rod benders fishing in Sarasota.

This is our second annual fishing trip with Capt Scott in Sarasota Bay.
I didn’t think this trip could possibly be better than last year’s trip, however I was wrong.
As like last year, Capt got us on the fish in no time and offers great advice to improve fishing skills.
Among other species we caught our limit on trout, a pompano, a small grouper, and dozens of lady fish.
I don’t think we had any more than one minute without action.  Was it just a perfect fishing day?  I don’t think so, Capt Scott got us right on the fish.
Capt Scott is a great story teller and does a great job cleaning and packing the fish also.
My wife and I are looking forward to our third annual fishing trip with Capt Scott again next year!

I took my family out for a 4-hour trip with Captain Scott, our goal being to catch a couple keepers, including one for my 3.5-year-old daughter. Captain Scott got us on the fish right away, as we had action from speckled seatrout all day, including a personal best keeper for me. I also snagged a huge spanish mackerel, leaving us with a nice dinner to come home to. Captain Scott was fantastic with my family, none of whom are experienced anglers, and he was very generous with his knowledge all around. We came away not only with a bunch of fish, but with more knowledge on how to go out and get them ourselves. For anyone who wants a friendly, knowledgeable, and patient Captain, I highly recommend Rodbender!

Went out solo with Captain Scott on 2/8/25. Had a blast on the water with Captain Scott. Caught several pinfish as well as two nice-sized Spanish Mackerel and a good-sized Sea Trout. Captain Scott knows his stuff having fished the local waters for 30 years. Captain Scott is also extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to help new anglers learn the sport as well as improve the techniques of seasoned anglers. Overall, Captain Scott was incredible and the fishing was even better. I’ll certainly be giving Captain Scott a call next time I’m in town!

My 12 year old son and I recently went on a 4 hour morning fishing trip with Captain Scott. We had no problem meeting him and getting out on the water. Captain Scott knew exactly where to go based on the conditions and we started hooking mangrove snapper in no time. Captain Scott is great for conversation, offering fishing tips, and answering questions. After catching plenty of snapper we headed to another spot where my son caught a couple sea trout. All in all we had a fun morning out. Captain Scott is there to meet your needs; just ask. Would be happy to go out fishing with him again.
