Let's go out today and make the memory of a lifetime! Fishing is my greatest passion in life, my father and grandfather began fishing our waters in 1956 and instilled an appreciation for this slice of paradise in me. Passing my passion and knowledge onto clients always brings a smile to my face. I hope we get to spend a day on the water together soon!!!

    Awesome Fishing Trip

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore3 adults

Our group of 3 went out with Jack fishing today on a 6 hour trip and had the best time! Personally this was my 2nd trip with Jack and I couldnt recommend him more. We caught 6 different species and around 25 total fish including more than enough for dinner. He is very knowledgeable on not only the fishing but the Ft Myers area. His communication is great and was very attentive to our group. When fishing got slow he didnt hesitate to move the boat and put us back on fish. Overall we had an amazing time!

Capt Jack puts you on the fish!

Half Day Trip – Inshore6 adults

Jack was great with communication before the trip, and he made an excellent decision to put our trip off a couple days later due to weather. When we went, he was super helpful with getting the teenage boys on the fish. We caught all of the species (snook, mangrove snapper, red fish, Jack, ladyfish, and even a younger goliath grouper!). Recommend booking towards the beginning of the week so Jack has options if weather is a potential issue. Thanks Jack! We can’t wait to go again!!!

    The Highlight of Our Trip!

    Half Day Trip – Inshore - 1:00 PM4 adults

This was our second time booking a private charter with Captain Jack, and once again, it did not disappoint. We spent the day fishing in the Gulf off the Fort Myers Beach area and had an incredible time on the water. We were thrilled to land some impressive Snook and Grouper, but what really sets Captain Jack apart is his dedication to his clients. Mother Nature threw us a curveball and forced us to change our original plans, but Captain Jack went above and beyond, working a Saturday afternoon to make sure we still got our time on the water. His expertise and flexibility made all the difference. If you're looking for a top-tier, professional experience in the Fort Myers area, Captain Jack is the best in the business. We already can’t wait for our next trip!

The Right Person became a Captain

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore2 adults

Captain Jack is a great person who is very accommodating and willing to find you fish. It will be obvious to any fishermen that Jack knows not only what he's doing but also how best to adapt during the trip in order to put you on fish and help achieve your goal for the charter. We had great conversations, limited out on fish, and most importantly made a new friend we would take great joy in chartering with again in Captain Jack.

    Amazing family trip!

    3/4 Day Trip – Inshore4 adults1 child

Our trip was absolutely amazing. we went out for 6 hours and he kept the kids (9 and 13) engaged the entire time. He was polite and answered all the kids crazy queations with a smile. He moved us around and used different techniques to keep things fresh. We caught over a dozen fish, 3 keepers. Absolutely perfect for a family of 4. The 9 year old said “Dad, give Jack a perfect score!”

What's biting with Captain Jack’s Fishing Charters in Fort Myers

Fort Myers becomes less crowded in September as families take the kids back to school and hurricanes threaten. Water temperatures are still warm, so look for deep holes and shade, targeting Redfish, Snook, and Trout.

Summer time fishing!

Jun 30, 2024 • Fort Myers
Snook, snapper, and sea trout bites are on!! Morning bites are generally better but we can still get them to eat in the afternoon with enough chum, especially if it rains!

Snook and Seatrout bite is on ???

Mar 25, 2024 • Fort Myers
We’ve been catching a ton of big seatrout out on the flats/sandbars and the snook have moved out of their winter homes and into the creeks/mangrove walls near the rivermouth. We’re getting a few redfish mixed in and small blacktip sharks.

Spring is here!!!

Feb 29, 2024 • Fort Myers
These photos are from 2/29/24, the sea trout bite is on fire!!! Great species for kids and those who want to bring home a few meals. We’ve been catching them both with shrimp and live baitfish, fishing sandbars and grassflats with popping corks. The snook have started to really move out of their winter homes. We’ve been catching a good amount of medium sized snook with some slot-sized fish mixed in. Snook season just opened up, it runs for march and april. We’ve been catching a few Redfish mixed-in but not a ton. Lets get out there and bend some rods!!!

The bites still hot even with the cooler

Jan 5, 2024 • Fort Myers
Winter is here! New year, new boat and the fish are biting. The winter always brings in a variety of species, right now we’re mainly catching sea-trout, snook, sheepshead, and black/red fish. We’ve also reeled in some bluefish, mackeral, small sharks, pompano, flounder, and other species. For bait we’ve been using live whitebait, threadfins, and some shrimp (particulary on the colder days). We’ve been sticking to the Sanibel area and river mouth, fishing oysterbars, drifting grass flats, rock piles/docks, and have been going into creeks. Tons of dolphins and manatees around. Book a trip today, lets get out there and have some fun!
