    I am not gonna lie I was all doubtful at the 1 5 hour drive and the 30 minute boat ride that fishing would be 4 hours or less. NO. Ben picked us us at 5am and dropped us off at 5 pm. He was awesome. Cooked us lunch on a portable BBQ and it was so yummy. We caught 4 fish. Thank you Ben so blessed to have you

    Weather didn’t want to cooperate, made it hard to site fish but even then Captain Ben was still able to put us on some really nice fish. Had a blast fighting them on the fly rod.

What's biting with Delta Fly Fishing in Mobile

The weather slowly starts to cool, and Speckled Trout retreat slightly. However, Redfish, Tripletail, and Mackerel species are particularly abundant, and Snapper and Grouper can still be located around the reefs.

The redfish are tailing! We have been consistently seeing both bull and slot redfish tailing in really shallow, clear water here in Alabama. This pattern should continue for the next few months. There are also plenty of tripletail in the bay right now.

Tarpon/Redfish July 2020

The tarpon are on the beach! We have been targeting rolling fish with both fly and spinning tackle. Got a 120 pounder to the boat on fly last week and expect to land a few more soon. Great time to go after that fish of a lifetime. And of course, we’re still catching plenty of redfish in the marsh.

We are mainly fishing the Biloxi Marsh right now. The water is really clear and the redfish are thick in the grass ponds. The fish have been up shallow and are iving us lots of opportunities. Great time to catch reds on fly
