A passionate outdoorsman, Captain Hunter Ray grew up fishing the Choctawhatchee Bay in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. His family has been on the water for generations, and Capt. Hunter was introduced to the fishing business at an early age. As he grew up, he spent countless hours working as a deckhand for his family's shrimping business, which gave him a thorough knowledge of the local waters and all their inhabitants. Nowadays, he translates this knowledge to his clients by providing fun local inshore fishing trips that stand out because of his local knowledge and family-friendly attitude.

    Great Trip

    Very professional captain and was abe to get our group on fish very quickly. Accommodated all skill levels in our group and was courteous and professional. Would definitely recommend.

    4th Generation Captain

    4 hour inshore fishing trip • 5 adults • 3 children

    Tucker is 4th generation captain and it shows. Great gear, knew all the best spots and put us on with 2 snappers one at 24 inches but wrapped around a log. We did bring in 14 cats that put up a great fight for our boys. Highly recommend as he is great with kids.

Started out catching about 40 croakers for bait. Then went to the pogy schools and caught over 20 bull reds and lost a shark.

The big over slot redfish we call bull reds have shown up big time. We target these fish by running around looking for birds diving or visibly seeing them chasing bait on the surface. Nows the best time of year to get after them.

The redfish are getting into their late summer pattern and we have them dialed in. Bait is getting scarce so it takes a little more time to find the right ones but its worth it because when you find them the reds are chewing the hooks off.

Summer time has started a little early for us this year. The water temps are a little higher than normal this early so that means fishing early or late will provide the best results. This time of year is all about the right type of bait. Our clients will be fishing Croakers,Lys, and shrimp to offer the best chance at capitalizing on some great dinner fare. Book your trip soon because our dates are filling up fast.
