First time fishing Oklahoma and it was Amazing! We took home12 fish total but caught more than that. Captain was nice and taught my son how to land the Stripers. I recommend to bundle up because it was freezing!!! We will definitely come back and try a morning trip as well!

The trip started with a miscommunication. Charles said he texted us to show up at 5:45 am but the Booking still said departing at 7 am. So when we showed up at 6:30 am, he was salty about it. My oldest son was the last one on the boat and he (Charles) keeps saying he was going to leave without him. Yeah, leave my son on the dock after I paid for the trip. OK, right. He also said that he planned to be off the water by 10 am. Well, I paid for five hours. Anyway, that soured the trip for a while. Then once we started fishing, he criticized my son and his friend because they missed their first fish. These guys are inexperienced fishermen who have never fished for striped bass. He never asked. This is my third time to fish Lake Texhoma and I never had an experience like this with the previous guides. On the positive side, I can say that he worked hard to put us on fish and we ended up with 21 keepers. We also fished the whole five hours I paid for. I paid the tab and tipped him pretty well but I wouldn’t get back on the water with this guy, especially with inexperienced fishermen in the party. It’s a shame because I planned this trip for months and I never get a chance to fish with my kids.
