I can’t say enough how awesome our experience was with Captain Jon! He attended to our every need and his primary goal was to make sure my daughter was comfortable, catching fish and having a fantastic day making amazing memories. We did the full day shark fishing trip and my daughter told me she wasn’t going home from vacation until she caught a shark. Captain Jon took us to the perfect spot and in the first 2 hours she caught 2 huge nurse sharks which made our trip that much more memorable! In total we caught a total of 5 Nurse Sharks ranging 6-7’ long weighing between 175-225 lbs. He also took us to another spot to catch enough fish to have for dinner that night. We caught 11 different species of fish on this trip. Captain Jon gave us memories that will last a life time! I can’t thank him enough and we will definitely be using Reel Attack again in the future.

Captain Jon is the fish whisperer. Within two cast we hooked fish! He put us right on the fish at every spot and it wasn’t just a couple, none stop fun. We had a little time left, my 6 year old son told John he wanted to catch a big shark, I laughed and to my surprise Jon said yes. Thought to myself, how is this guy going to put us on a shark with limited time in the middle of the day…..next thing I know, I’m reeling in the biggest shark of my life. Hands down the best fishing experience, we will be back! It was the perfect trip for myself and my son.

My 10yr son, 13yr daughter with only freshwater experience and I booked a trip with Captain Jon, the owner and sole operator of the company. I was worried that they would get bored or mess something up or would be a burden to a charter Captain. I spoke to Captain Jon beforehand and he eased my fears, he also has a child their ages; so he knows the struggle. Being a father I wanted to put my pole down and help the kids bait or take off a fish, but Captain Jon always stepped in and took charge never wanting me to stop catching fish; he legit took care of them never loosing patience. He also doubles as a photographer! We fished the Gulf, and caught well over 35 fish (12 different species) with 19 keepers. When we come back down from Jersey without a doubt we will book with Jon again!

Our trip with Reel Attack Charters was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The captain was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, making sure everyone on board had a great time. They knew exactly where to go to get us on the fish, and we caught more than we ever expected!

Beyond the fishing, the atmosphere was top-notch. The captain was engaging and made me feel comfortable, shared great insights about the area and the sport. It was clear they love what they do, and their enthusiasm made the trip even more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for the Keys backcountry trip you’ve seen on TV, look no further. Cap. Jon put us on fish from the start, made my wife feel right at home on the boat and sent us off with plenty of fillets for dinner at Lazy Days.  Thankfully we wound up the day with a nice grouper… otherwise I’d have to hear all about how she outfished me!
