This turned out to be a slow day of fishing. Captain Zach wouldn’t give one spot more than ten minutes without a bite, so most of the trip was spent driving around. We spent over half the time driving back and forth between fishing spots. We mentioned to him a couple times to wait a little longer and he told us he was not patient. We finally caught something after going back to where we started. By this time, our trip was pretty much over. We understand that you cant make fish bite, but you cant catch them if your line is not in the water. We tried to make conversation to pass the time since we weren’t catching anything, but he wouldn’t engage in conversation. This was a pretty expensive trip for just a boat ride, when we just wanted to catch anything and not a specific species.

Not quite what I expected. I used to catch much more fish just from a pier..Neither captain nor my husband were able to catch anything. I guess just bad fishing day. Next time I will do my research, plan accordingly and go deep sea fishing
