WESTWIND- GREAT DAY CATCHING TRIGGER FIS

Today the Westwind was happy to host Chris and Charlie for a charter fishing trip. The bite was on instantly as Charlie boated a double header Sea Bass within seconds of hitting the bottom. jThe Trigger fish followed immediately and we had them swarming behind the boat. Todays trip had Jisoo and crew on the Westwind. An hour ride to the fishing grounds proved itself to be worthwhile. Our charter loaded up with Sea Bass to 18 inches and a load of porgies plus many fished released to be caught another day. A wonderful day with a fantastic group. Many thanks ...Mike

IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY AND THE GIANT STRIPED BASS WERE BITING. SEAN AND CREW BOAT AND SAFELY RELEASED THE 3 BASS YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS THAT RANGED FROM 38 TO 44 LBS. ADDITIONALLY SEAN AND CHARTER BOATED THEIR LIMIT OF STRIPERS THAT RANGED TO 30 LBS. GREAT GOING MEN!!! CAPT. MIKE

It’s always a pleasure fishing with Captain Mike. He goes out of his way to make sure everybody catches fish. I usually bring my 14-year-old son and his friend with me and Captain Mike always makes sure they have an excellent time. I’ve used him many times and I will use him anymore.

Been booking Mike Grecco since 1991 twice a year for stripper trips we also catch fish and have a great time. Mike and the mate Ford work hard to find fish and take great care of us when we are fish you don’t lose fish over crew and Ford does a great job cleaning and putting the fish into baggies to take home These guys are the best and strongly recommend them

Capt. Mike is great! I’ve been going out with him for well over a decade and am never let down. I highly recommend him for his excellent service and reliability, and friendly personality. Ford is great to fish with as well, and is very knowledgeable.

Paid for 6 hr trip, with mate. Captain Greco was cool, however the other guy Fords, who was supposed to be the mate, was terrible. Wouldn’t set up hooks, didnt want to supply bait, a little of a know it all. Was such a predictable a hole… we still tipped each man caught 4 fish for a full day. Maybe I’m spoiled and used to going to Massachusetts for the last 15 yrs. But wanted to try something local. I thought they were going south, they went north towards sheep’s head bay... More

Noel paid for a six hour trip but received close to an 8 hour trip due to a tough day on the water. We went as Noel said north to the tin can grounds where we have been very successfully fishing for the past 3 months. After a 2 day blow of strong winds, the fish we have been catching moved out. We put over 40 miles on the boat trying to find fish. The night before the trip I strongly encouraged Noel to postpone the trip due to the weather we had , the impact it might have on the fishing and the possibility of continued bad weather on the day of the trip ( which never materialized as the weather was perfect.)We never do anything to conserve fuel. The area we fished has been productive all year and is fished by most charter and head boats in the area. It is as lively a fishing ground as there is. Just ask around and read the reports. Ford has been the mate ( not co owner) for over 25 years. As the saying goes, you cannot please everyone all of the time. Unfortunately this time our valued customer Noel, didn’t like Ford. That’s how goes it some times… very rarely. When a valued customer complains about the mate, as Noel did in a very tactful and gentlemanly manner, his perspective is immediately relayed to the person concerned. This was a 5 man charter and the other 4 individuals praised both myself and the mate at the end of the trip . Two of them took my business card to re-book in the future. I sincerely apologize to Noel for the impression he experienced on board, but his perspective is quite unique as my other reviews will attest. I enjoyed Noel’s presence on the boat, a great personality and would like to see him again . Capt. mike
