- Background
- I grew up fishing many different lakes and rivers and being outdoors, on the water, is the most natural thing to me. I've been competing in fishing tournaments and spending every spare moment with my line in the water. I was forced to retire from the Police Department and my martial arts schools after a motorcycle accident, but fishing helped me feel better. Over the past 5 years, I have been taking my family and friends out fishing. I've enjoyed it so much that I completed my training and became a USCG licensed Captain.
- Techniques
- Bowfishing is like any fishing – there are times of the year, water conditions, and weather conditions that all play a factor in the species, and areas we chase these monsters. I am always on the water monitoring conditions and going all out to make sure you have the best opportunity I can give you for a successful trip. We hunt the shallows, banks, open waters, day and night from our platform. Jumping Silver Carp are hunted on the local river systems, monster Grass Carp and Common Carp are hunted in the backs of coves and grassy areas of banks and rivers. Giant Buffalo Carp are hunted on rocky banks and deeper water. Long and shortnose Gar can be in open water or banks, even the backs of creeks depending on the time of the year you decide to chase these prehistoric fish.
