  Great Fishing & Snorkeling Experience on the Fortuna! What an incredible day on the water with Fernando Baja Tours! Our group of four had an amazing time fishing and snorkeling in the beautiful waters around La Paz. Everyone caught fish, including dorado, skipjack, and roosterfish! We also enjoyed the excitement of trolling for sailfish, adding even more adventure to an already memorable day. What really made the experience special was Fernando and his crew. They were highly experienced, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional! From the tasty breakfast burritos to pints of delicious, freshly prepared ceviche, along with an assortment of ice-cold beverages including beer, soda, and water, they made sure we were well taken care of throughout the day. The crew was incredibly friendly, caring, and attentive, making sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, had fun, and enjoyed every moment of the experience. Between the fully equipped Fortuna boat, great fishing, snorkeling, beautiful scenery, delicious food, and wonderful company, we made memories that we’ll cherish for years to come. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience aboard the Fortuna! We’d highly recommend Fernando and his crew to anyone looking for an unforgettable fishing and snorkeling adventure in La Paz. Thank you for such an amazing day!

  Captain Fernando and his assistant Alfredo made this an unforgettable trip. We booked a half-day fishing charter and had such an amazing time that we immediately booked another day with them for a beach and fishing tour. They exceeded every expectation and paid attention to every detail, making sure we had an incredible experience from start to finish. Their professionalism, knowledge, and friendly personalities made the trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for an unforgettable day on the water, I can’t recommend them enough. 1000/1000—highly recommend!

  Persistence Saved the Day!

  Full Day Trip on May 28, 2026 • 4 adults

  We had an amazing time with Jairo, starting at ~7am, we caught a smaller Mahi Mahi at around 9am that was returned to the ocean, then a huge Mahi Mahi at 10:30am that we kept for dinner! We then trailed the ocean for the next 4 hours or so until we FINALLY caught one more good one. Jairo filleted the fish for us and called to make a booking at his friend's restaurant for that evening, where our catch was cooked 3 different ways for us all to try. Great day, great music, great vibes, great fish, super experience overall!

  Awesome crew, Awesome boat and and an Awesome time!

  Half Day Trip (AM) on March 1, 2026 • 1 adult

  The weather was amazing, but that was only a small part of a great trip. Fernando and Hito make a great team and they were able to get us on the fish and we hit over three different species, but the star of the show was the 44 pound yellowtail I hooked into and Fernando was able to expertly gaff and get onto the boat. He did a great job of keeping the entertainment going with music, good jokes, cold water and sodas again, cannot recommend this group this team enough you will have fun. You will more than likely catch fish and you’ll have lots of good memories to take home. La Paz is amazing and so it’s people I can’t wait to get back.

  Great Fishing Trip

  Half Day Trip (AM) on June 21, 2026 • 5 adults

  Thank you Fernando and Alberto, we had a great time. Was a very relaxing trip with lots of naps ☺️(for our kids). We where able to catch a Jack Creval and a Needlefish, we hooked a small dorado but sadly it got away. The feeling of a fish hooking and railing it in is such a fun rush. This was our first time here and was a great experince. Hoping to come back and do a full day and try again until then Thank you!
